Welcome to The Lillie Pad! Ever delightful and always handmade.

Hi, y'all! I'm Amanda, the owner and designer here at The Lillie Pad. The Lillie Pad is a great place to find delightful and whimsical handmade gift ideas for the ones you love. From crocheted accessories and original crochet patterns, to fun personalized housewares, you are sure to find something to make you or someone you love smile. My products are proudly handmade in my beloved home state of Georgia.

I opened my Etsy shop in 2011 after losing my teaching job during the recession. In 2013 my crochet hobby turned into a full-time handmade business overnight when one of my crochet designs went viral worldwide. I became an Etsy top seller and to date and I have sold over 15,000 crochet patterns and over 9,000 handmade items in my Etsy and Ravelry shops. My work has been featured in The Daily Mail and on the BBC, Good Morning America and The Today Show as well as Cosmopolitan magazine, The Huffington Post, BuzzFeed and much more!

As a fourth generation crocheter in my family the art of crochet is in my blood. Several years ago I began honing my skills with the craft and really connected with it. After a few weeks of work I showed my granny some of my first projects. She cheered my efforts. Then she left the room and soon returned with a mason jar filled with vintage crochet hooks. But these were not just any crochet hooks. These were hooks which had once belonged to by my great-grandmother and my grandfather. My great-grandmother and her son, my grandfather, were well known for their amazing and intricate crochet creations. My granny handed me the jar of hooks and told me, "Keep making pretty things with them". A treasured memory and a treasured gift. Those crochet hooks are among my dearest possessions, connecting me to my heritage and reminding me to carry on crafts and traditions of my ancestors.

In recent years my hands and arms have been encumbered by the difficulties of arthritis, making it progressively more difficult to crochet beautiful things. I have added personalized home goods and gifts such as glass soap dispensers, sassy kitchen towels, and fun holiday decor to my shop. Creating custom and unique gifts for special people has given me continued enjoyment of creating with my hands in a way that is more manageable for my arthritis.

Besides being just a handmade seller, I enjoy working with fellow artisan entrepreneurs to help them grow their handmade businesses. I am the co-owner of The Market Gals coaching services shop here on Etsy with fellow Etsian Brianna Torrey. At The Market Gals we offer craft show and digital sales mentoring services and critiques to handmade sellers. Returns and exchanges

Returns and exchange details
Returns/Exchanges on Ready-Made (non-custom) items are accepted in the timeline listed above. Buyer pays the return shipping (plus second shipping for exchanges). Once we receive the returned item you will be refunded the purchase price minus the original shipping charges for returns. We reserve the right to withhold refunds on returns until the item is returned to us. Items must be in new, unworn/unused condition. Izzy Hat Tools must be returned in new, unopened condition in original template packaging with all original parts. There will be a $3 Restocking Fee charged/withheld from refund for Izzy tools that are returned in opened packaging.

Returns/Exchanges on Custom Orders: Returns and Exchanges can be made on most items within the timeline listed above. Sorry, no returns on custom orders that are customized, personalized, or made to a specialized size. Please be sure that you ask any necessary questions about your custom order before purchase. Returned and exchanged items but be in new, unworn/unused condition. For some items in our shop we may be able to offer an exchange for your item (buyer pays return and new shipping).

Refunds of Digital Download items: Please contact us if you have a problem with your digital item. We do not offer refunds on instant digital downloads except in very special cases (i.e. duplicate orders). Sorry, no refunds on digital download purchases if any of the files have been marked as "downloaded" by Etsy on your account.

EU Right of Withdrawl: Buyers residing in EU countries that are subject to the Right of Withdrawl regulations have the right to return an item within 14 days of item delivery. This right does not extend to custom-made items nor digital content items in our shop. To initiate the Right of Withdrawl on an applicable item purchased from our shop buyers must contact us directly within the 14 day period after delivery and we will provide return instructions. The buyer is responsible for paying all return shipping costs.

Return to Sender: Any domestic or international packages (except for those in applicable Right of Withdrawl countries in the EU) marked "refused," "return to sender", "not called for", "undeliverable" etc. by the buyer or postal service upon arrival and are sent back to us (opened or unopened) are not eligible for a shipping refund, and may or may not be subject to a full or partial refund of the item unless previously agreed upon between us (The Lillie Pad) and the buyer prior to the return. If an item is returned as "undeliverable" we can re-send the package by request. Buyer pays for new postage.
I accept all payment forms offered by Etsy.
Custom Made Items: Customers are asked to please submit payment before I begin work on your custom item. Cancellations will only be allowed if something happens and I am unable to complete your order within the agreed-upon timeline in your custom order and you no longer wish to have the item made for you.

Ready-Made Items: Cancellations can be made before shipment. Any cancellations made after item is shipped will be considered a "Return" (see Refund policy).
Communication is the most important thing to me! Please contact me, and I will do my best to meet your needs and answer your questions. You can refer to the following shipping policies for my store:

Delivery estimates shown on each product's listing page and at checkout are not guaranteed delivery windows. They are based on the item's production time and first class shipping to your zip code/location. Although these delivery window estimates are quite accurate, they do not account for any unexpected delays on part of the USPS, customs, international postal services, or other shipping carriers. Please see "Mailing Options" below for information on all shipping services I provide including delivery times and guarantees.

Current production times are stated in each item's description. Once you purchase an item a "ship by" date will be listed on your invoice reflecting that processing time, indicating the latest possible date that your item will ship out from me. It does not include shipping (delivery) time.

-Buyer is responsible for making sure that the shipping address is correct at time of purchase. Customer assumes responsibility for the accuracy of the shipping address, and any shipping errors that may occur as a result of an incorrect address.

-The Lillie Pad is not responsible for shipping delays or returned packages due delays at customs, or due to labor disputes or other disruptions by any domestic or international postal carrier, including Canada Post.
-If it looks as if your package might have been lost in transit please contact me. Please know that in rare cases the USPS may take up to 30 days to deliver first class or priority mail within the US and abroad.
-Buyer is responsible for having a secure area for the package to be delivered. Items that are lost or stolen after being marked "delivered" by the USPS are the responsibility of the buyer, and not the responsibility of my shop or the USPS.
-If an item is lost or stolen in transit I am happy to assist with filing a claim or communicating with the postal service.
-If an item is returned to me by the post office as "undeliverable" for any reason I can resend it to the buyer, with buyer re-purchasing new postage.
-If an item is damaged upon arrival, whether by faulty design or by rough transit please contact me immediately. Depending on the situation I will work with you to either replace, fix, exchange, or return the item, and I will help with filing a USPS claim.

--I offer USPS: First Class, Priority, and Priority Express services: Domestic and International services for each. All services come with tracking.
I offer FedEx services by request only.
--USPS Priority Mail Express and Express International are the only shipping services that are guaranteed to be delivered on-time or you are entitled to a refund of the postage price.
--The Lillie Pad is not responsible for late delivery of packages with USPS First Class or Priority Mail. Once I ship your order on time as promised according to the ship-by date stated on your invoice and it is in the possession of the postal service I cannot control the delivery time of your order. However, if you purchase Priority Express shipping and live in some international locations (please contact us for a list of locations) and your order is delivered late you are entitled to a full refund of the postage price. Please let me know if that is the case and I will work through the claims and refund process for you.
--International tracking numbers and customs form numbers may only be limited to tracking a package within the US. Some countries do not continue to use the original tracking number upon arrival in the destination country. If you prefer door-to-door tracking please contact me prior to purchase and I will inform you of your shipping options.

-All first class/standard packages are shipped without insurance but insurance can be added. Additional fees apply.
-All Priority and Priority Express shipments are shipped with insurance.
-I offer signature confirmation on US domestic purchases by request only. Additional fees apply.

--The Lillie Pad and the United States Postal Service are not responsible for packages that are held over or delayed in Customs.
--The buyer is responsible for any VAT/import/duty taxes or fees that may be levied upon package's arrival. Please be aware of these charges for your individual country prior to purchase. Check your country's postal website for rules before purchase. Your postal service could hold your package for VAT charges and will not release the package to you until you pay this fee.

Please message me for wholesale or consignment information. I can do wholesale or consignment, but only on a limited selection of items in my shop.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I offer gift-wrapping for an additional fee. Gift Wrapped items are wrapped neatly in branded or holiday tissue, secured with a Lillie Pad logo sticker, and tied neatly with colorful twine. An optional gift message on a nice post card is also included in the gift wrap fee.

Custom and personalized orders

I accept custom and personalized orders on many items in my shop. Please contact me if you would like to inquire about having something made especially for you!

When will my purchase be ready to ship?

The processing time (the time it takes to make your order before it is ready to ship) for each item in my shop is clearly listed in each item's listing details. After purchase a "ship-by" date can be found on your invoice at That date indicates the latest possible date your order will be ready to ship unless we have personally discussed otherwise.
