I love crafting since I remember, as a child I used to spend a lot of time designing, painting, etc. I grew up watching my mother sewing and as a teenager I used to design my own dresses and she used to sew them for me. At that time I dreamed about studying fashion design, but life had a different path planned for me, I became an Analyst programmer and work on that are for almost 10 years until my daughter was born in 2008, she was my inspiration to start crafting again and at the same time crafting became a source for peace of mind.

A few months after my little girl was born I started to design and sew clothes for her... soon I started a blog about the stuff I do (www.soteitei.blogspot.com) as a way to share my ideas with other people. A few month later I decided to give it a try to my dream of being a fashion designer and I started to translate my own designs into sewing pattern and instructions so other people could learn out of my way to sew stuff.

Starting this business has been full of rewards; I got to quit my day job and stay at home taking care of my family and still contribute with the family income, I got to work on something I truly love. I have and continue learning a lot about sewing, designing, marketing... I had the chance to contribute on some charity programs and I'm still working on it (some of my patterns are sold at http://www.etsy.com/shop/createhopedesigns ) and I even I have meet some wonderful people that share this passion with me.

The instructions provided in my sewing patterns do not teach the best way to sew, they teach the way I find it better to sew.
All my patterns are submitted for testing to several people before they are released for sale, this people not only tests the fit and sizing but also look for errors in writing and let me know when some step is not clear enough, but it doesn't mean they are clear for everyone so when I sell a sewing pattern it also includes my full support to answer questions and clarify doubts as soon as I can, usually within 1/2 hour during work days and always less than 12 hours.
