The Little Artisan- making the world happier one handmade item at a time!

Artisan: a skilled craft worker who makes or creates material objects partly or completely by hand. That’s me! Many of my items are handmade from scratch and I wanted to have a brand that could describe what I do. That’s how I came up with the little artisan.

It all started in 2014 ( who am I kidding, I’ve been crafting since I was wee - maybe not so professionally ) anywho back to 2014! I started hand making little items here and there; dream catchers , candles & a few other things for personal use. I enjoyed crafting and making myself these things with my own hands. ( even though many things didn’t turn out as expected, and the other half would laugh at all the things I would try to make myself ) I started getting really good at my candles, learning different sciences behind how they work and what’s needed to get them to burn right. I thought, why not make these and share them with others? That’s what I did! I solely sold candles for a few years- however forward to 2019 and I wanted to craft more, I want to share all the other things I had been making. Soaps, mugs with cute decals, baths salts and I’m on the way to sharing some really cute knit items with you all!

I hope you all enjoy looking through my shop, I’m always coming up with a new handmade project for you to enjoy!

When you choose the little artisan, know you’re choosing one little person who just can’t help but love making things with her hands. When you support us through purchasing our gifts, we really do a little silly dance . So thank you ❤️

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

•CANDLES : For the first burn, make sure you burn until there is a full burn pool from side to side. This will set the tone for a nice burn on your candle. Do not burn for more then 4 hours afterwards. Trim wick to 1/4 inch before each use. ( cutting off any bLls or "mushrooms”) This will prevent an enlarged flame that will burn too much wax and create soot. When your candle is finished wash your jar with hot soapy water and repurpose as you please!

•MUGS/GLASSWARE :
Please hand wash only.
Do not put in the dishwasher as this may ruin the design. Better safe than sorry!
Do not pick or scrub or soak.

•KNIT ITEMS: Hand wash only and lay flat to dry. Blot when necessary.

How do we scent our candles, soaps & salts?

We strive to create a beautifully scented healthy candle and yummy pretty soaps & salts. All of our items are delicately scented with 100% pure essential oils or non-toxic premium phthalate free fragrance oils.
We never use dyes in our products.

Wax information

100% pure Soy wax is used in all of our candles. Soy wax is a renewable & sustainable source that burns clean and washes up with some soap and hot water. Soy wax has a longer burn time (50-60% longer) then paraffin waxes. Our soy wax is Non- GMO & cruelty free.

How do we make our soaps?

Our soap bars are handcrafted from scratch using the cold process method. Using only the highest quality ingredients and organic oils and butters. They may be deliciously scented with a non toxic phthalate free and paraben free fragrance oil or pure essential oils.
We never use dye in our soap, they are naturally coloured by the oils used in making them.
Each of our bars are made with love and patience. They take 4-6 weeks to full cure before you we send them out to you! This creates a hard, long lasting soap bar.
