We are the owners and creative minds behind The Lovely Apple!
We have been best friends for over 10 years, and our shop was born after we each had our first babies (within a few weeks of each other!). As our maternity leaves dwindled, we decided on a whim to start a "little business" together - and hoped it would be a creative outlet and maybe a little extra money for each of us and our families. Custom party décor seemed a natural choice, as we both love hosting, entertaining, and planning parties! We got to work designing a few parties for family and friends, and were able to launch our shop soon after. We literally squealed with delight when we received our first order just a couple of days after opening up!
About 6 months after we launched our shop, we experienced a huge boost in sales! We worked our tails off to keep caught up on orders (while also working our full time jobs as a nurse and a teacher). In August of 2013, Jenny quit her teaching job and Jenn went part-time in nursing, so we could put more love and attention towards our expanding shop. A risk that has been well-worth it, as we've continued to grow - thanks to our lovely customers!
What started as a pipe dream has blossomed into a full-blown dream come true, as we work hard each day to bring beautiful party décor to our amazing customers. We find true joy in designing and producing items that will give your party a unique, stylish, custom touch. What an honor it has been to be a part of so many special days!!
Jenny is the "voice" behind Etsy - and the one you'll often chat with about your party details. She keeps the shop up and running - answering convos, organizing orders, adding new items, and communicating with customers about custom themes and new party ideas. She also does most of the design work behind the items you'll find in the shop! Jenny also fills party décor orders, photographs items for the shop, and customizes all of our invitation orders.
Jenn is our numbers whiz, our lovely accountant, book-keeper, and has the business mind that keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. She tackles our social media outlets, and is always thinking ahead to what our business needs next. She is a work-horse, and is often burning the midnight oil to complete your party décor!
We have developed such a true passion for what we do, and LOVE being a part of your events. We are so blessed!

Becky does pre-assembly work on all of our handmade items. She specializes in cutting paper for banners and hand-making all of the fringe for our party hats.
Jenny works in the studio to help assemble orders and prepare them for shipment to customers.

Frequently asked questions
When will I receive my order, or when will my order ship?
We do prioritize orders based on party date (not in the order that purchases are made). Make sure to tell us the date of your party in the "notes" when you checkout. We will make sure to ship your items so they ARRIVE at LEAST 5-7 days prior to the date of your party (this excludes rush orders). If you want your items sooner than a week before your party, just let us know when you place the order. We do aim to get ALL orders shipped within 2-3 weeks, regardless of the party date specified.
You can choose to upgrade to Priority Shipping if you'd like your item to arrive faster (once shipped).
