Announcement   Painting with watercolor requires both calculation and faith. A large part of my process lies in striking a balance between planned, skilled executions and more spontaneous, intuitive mark-making. The water carries the pigment across the paper, guided by the brush, but in the end settling where it will. This makes it an especially appropriate medium for my work, which addresses spiritual themes.

Mythology, fantasy, and nature are the strongest influences on my work. Graceful goddess figures evoke the feminine divine; they dwell in vibrant surroundings of trees, flowers, and starlight, reminiscent of Earth and yet seemingly otherworldly. Through my faith as a Unitarian Universalist, I see these figures as real; they exist somewhere, in some reality, even if it’s not this one. Whether they exist because I created them or I created them because they exist, I’ll never know.

My work seeks to connect the earthly and the divine, to connect the viewer with the beings in the images. The purpose of the dialogue between viewer and entity is to deepen the viewer’s connection with the divine. Ultimately, it is my sincerest hope that my pieces spark the imagination and uplift the spirit.

Welcome, Wanderer, to The LUUvre!

My name is Jordan Lynn Gribble. My shop is entitled "The LUUvre" as a play on words using The Louvre museum in Paris and the "UU" of Unitarian Universalism.

I create work to inspire people and I use intuition and intention to do so. I love hearing about how my work has impacted people, even if it's something as simple as bringing a smile to their face or brightening their day just a little bit.

That being said, I will do all that I can to accommodate you and make any transaction as easy as possible. If you have any questions, concerns, or requests, please, never hesitate to ask.
