Das Measuring Tape ist ein kleines Unternehmen zu Hause, das sich auf handgefertigte Korsetts und maßgeschneiderte Kleidung für besondere Anlässe spezialisiert hat. Ich bin eine Work-at-Home-Mom-One-Woman-Operation. Aber ich könnte dies nicht ohne die Unterstützung meiner Familie, Freunde und treuen Kunden aus der ganzen Welt tun.
Ich war schon immer der Typ, der versucht, etwas zu machen (und vielleicht zu verbessern), das ich will, anstatt es einfach zu kaufen. Dazu gehören Essen, Möbel, Spielzeug für mein Kind, als sie klein war, und alle Arten von Näh- und Strickwaren. Es ist der Prozess der Entdeckung, den ich mehr als alles andere genieße, und auch die große Befriedigung, etwas zu erreichen, das funktioniert.
Zu diesem Zweck habe ich auch angefangen, Zeichnen und Nähen zu unterrichten, weil ich mit gleichgesinnten Seelen kommunizieren möchte. Wenn Sie so geneigt sind, biete ich hier (siehe Auflistung) und anderswo (siehe Blog) einen Online-Kurs zum Entwerfen an.

I have always been the sort to try my hand at making (and maybe improving) something I want rather than just going out to buy it. This includes food, furniture, toys for my kid when she was little, and all manner of sewn and knitted goods. It's the process of discovery which I enjoy more than anything else, and also the great satisfaction at accomplishing something that works.
