I am an Autistic/Neurodivergent(ASD) artist, and illustrator of the natural world. My art focuses on a subtle exploration of shapes and structure that can be found in nature, via single-plane studies of birds, insects, and plants in their natural environment. Each work is an intimate portrait of the subject, so as to magnify the beauty that is all around us if we are just willing to look!
The work shown here are a mixture of original pen&ink illustrations, pencil drawings, archival-quality prints, greeting cards, and stickers too.

5 out of 5 starsThe cards are beautiful and have a nice heft to them! They are true to picture -- the detail in the picture is wonderful. Additionally, they came neatly packaged and nicely wrapped with a red bow. The seller included some amazing bird stickers as well! Overall perfect experience.

I use the pencil lines as a guide for adding the ink, and add detail as I go along. -
I need to be relatively detailed with the pencil in order to show the detail of the fronds. -
The pigment usually covers the pencil completely, so there is no need to erase it. -
Using specimens to create the layout of the piece. -
I use translucent watercolors with lots of water. I lay down just enough paint to give color, but not cover the ink.
