About

I’ve always liked the thought of being an herbalist, so I decided to start making tea inspired by Norse history, literature, and lore.

This shop began with an idea that I tossed out (on a whim) to my followers on Tumblr: would anyone be interested in Norse-inspired teas? To my surprise (a delightful one, that is), people responded with interest, so I began to blend and experiment until I created teas that not only tasted good, but reminded me of the Norse lore and sagas that I've come to love.

Combining my years of experience studying Norse myth, literature, and history (I do, after all, have a Master's in History studying these things), this shop offers teas that evoke the complex and fascinating personalities found in Norse lore. As a rule, these teas are simple and natural. They combine only a few ingredients (typically 3 or 4), because I personally favor a simple brew where all the flavors have a chance to flourish. As such, these teas provide (I hope) affordable brews that can be used for devotional purposes or even simply for daily delight.

I am pleasantly surprised with how quickly this shop has come to flourish, and I am even more eager to see how it will grow. I hope you will give my teas a chance, offer feedback, and help improve the blends we share.

When I’m not blending and drinking tea, I’m working on my fantasy books or studying Norse sagas and lore through a blog/podcast called Fjorn’s Hall. I also play the harp and paint, occasionally.
