    About

    Welcome to Theoctopress

Slowly but surely getting back into screen printing after a long hiatus but tired of the poster scene, the Octopress was created as an outlet to show off and sell postcards and prints on non-traditional materials like plexiglass. Now you're seeing those results.

My fascination with handmade paper pop-ups gave way to the realization that the same effect of 3D layering could be achieved through shadowboxes. Now, in the time it takes me to make one pop-up, I can make multiple boxes.

The boxes are mainly made of American basswood which is sometimes also knows as Linden and comes from VT. The Octopress has recently set up in NY to try and take the world by storm.
