Happy Summer from ThePaperPickleMKE! :)
USPS Shipping Update: Due to both the pandemic and budget cuts, processing and shipping times are taking longer than normal. Tracking is not being updated in real time, and items are spending more time than usual sitting in distribution centers. Please be extra patient as we all navigate this together, and allow 4-5 extra business days to receive your orders. If you have any further issues or questions, please let me know and I will help you as best as I can!
Upcoming holiday and event cards are slowly in the works, including Halloween and Christmas. I will also be adding more varieties of card sizes and different interactive cards. Keep checking back, or “favorite” my shop, to see new designs as they are added!
Normally I welcome custom orders, but due to many suppliers being closed, shutting down, or having broad supply chain issues; along with having a first grader and dealing with school year interruptions, I will not be taking custom orders until 2023 at the earliest. Message me for more information or any questions. I can still modify many designs in the shop to fit your needs! Extra charges may apply for customization added to an existing finished design in the shop, contact me for further details.
Thank you for supporting handmade artisans and small business owners!

Yes, I really do color each stamped image one by one! I use a 3 shade blending technique with each color for dimension

A lot of elements go into a set of Christmas cards! Each card takes about 2 hours total, from coloring to assembling.
About ThePaperPickleMKE
Creating cards started as a stress relieving hobby and grew into a passion for me. I love creating one of a kind designs that are true to my personality and can fit the needs of a broad range of people. I love making cards that are cute beyond words, a bit silly, kind of nerdy, and full of all kinds of puns and word play. Animals and food are my favorite themes to work with, they provide the most fun material to go off of!
All of my cards are made 100% by hand, by myself, with no other outside help. I use stamps primarily from small, women-owned businesses, and I give credit to them where credit is due on the back of each and every card I make. I stamp every image out, color each one individually, either hand cut or die cut the images out, cut my own card stock and score & fold it by hand, trim all background paper by hand or with a die cutter, and place adhesive and assemble everything myself. It is a painstaking but fun process, and keeps most of my cards one of a kind; the few that I make multiples of aren't even exactly alike due to this process.
I prefer to buy as many materials as I can from small local businesses in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. This way I can ensure every element that goes into every card meets my own personal stringent quality standards... I'm a bit anal retentive that way! I just want to make sure that whoever receives one of my cards gets a high quality item that they can keep and cherish for years to come! :)

Frequently asked questions
How soon before a holiday should I place my card order(s)?
If you are planning on mailing out your cards, I recommend ordering them about a month before the actual holiday to give both time for me to get them sent to you, and for you to get out to your family and friends. If you are going to give in person, ordering about 2 weeks before you plan on giving to your recipient(s).
Why the higher prices compared to other shops?
All of my cards are made 100% fully by hand, and only by me. There is no mass printing involved, which is also why only a couple of each design is available at any time. I stamp, color, and cut each image by hand; die cut all backgrounds with a crank press die cutter; and place and adhere each item on the card individually. Additionally, I only use high quality materials from other small women-owned businesses, nothing that goes into any card comes from Amazon, eBay, or any Chinese-owned company. I am adamant about giving credit where credit is due, and supporting artists is a passion of mine.
Why is overseas shipping so expensive?
I prefer to ship everything via US Postal Service first class international mail. This way, your order can be tracked in case something should happen during transit. I would be happy to just send via regular international air mail, but then I would not be held responsible if postage is due upon arrival, or if your order doesn't arrive at all.
Custom and personalized orders
Most cards in the shop can be personalized, for an extra fee. I would not be able to change anything on the front side of any card, but I can add a custom message to the inside of the card. I print out the customized message using my personal font library, trying to coordinate fonts as best as I can. I then adhere that custom message to the inside of the card and trim to fit.
Custom and personalized orders
I do sometimes do custom orders, within reason. I am only one person, and I do everything by hand, so large quantities (over 30 cards) would not be doable for me. I can make a fully custom card for you, limited to whatever stamps I have in my collection to make it with. I do not do vulgar or profane orders at all, so please don't ask. The same goes with political or anything with drug references, slander or hate speech, I will not do them. Also, if there is a card or set of cards that you see that you would want a slightly higher quantity of, I can do that for you, as long as I have the supplies or am able to get them. Any further questions you have about custom orders, please feel free to message me!
