Cute little candle with gift box, this is a gift for a friend who is a fan of moscato - scent is sweet, hints of floral & not weak so it should scent a room nicely. Not my type of smell but she will like. I was happy to support Etsy biz with something unique instead of getting at a mall store. Quick safe packaging, no damage to candle, TY!

The Story Behind Our Name
We started The Pig and the Peacock as an outlet for our creative passions and chose our name to honor our grandparents. Growing up we spent our summers and holidays on our grandparents’ farm in Georgia. Our grandfather raised pigs and, to add some class to the place, our grandmother had peacocks. Some of our fondest memories are from those summers on the farm.
We started making gift baskets for family and friends. Next, we started making bath salts, then soaps, and the rest is history. We find that the process of making the soaps, salts, etc allow us to express our creative sides in a way that we cannot in our “day jobs”.
Creating handmade skin loving bath and body products is our passion. The Pig and the Peacock make handmade soap, lotions, soy candles and tarts, sugar scrubs and butters. We use all natural ingredients and source locally as much as possible. All of our products are made by us at Jenny's home in Dallas, TX. We hope you enjoy the products we create as much as we enjoyed creating them.
We recently participated in the pilot launch of Fund on Etsy and our DejaVino Wine Bottle Candle crowdfunding project was successfully funded!! To find out more about our DejaVino Wine Bottle Candles look for the section in our shop listings.
We are also members of Etsy Dallas, and are responsible for charitable events and community outreach for the team. Through this position we have launched an annual event for Girls Inc Dallas raising over $4500 in donations and school supplies. We have also partnered with Genesis Women's Shelter and the Ronald McDonald House to help spread the handmade movement while taking steps to improve our community and enrich the lives of others.
Owner, Soapmaker, Lotion Maker
Since we are sisters we do almost everything together-from brainstorming soap designs to creating new scents. We do have our strengths though, with Jenny making most of the lotions and taking care of most the shipping and inventory tracking.
Owner, Soapmaker, Candlemaker
Beyond the shared responsibilities of soapmaking and running the business, while Jenny is busy making lotions, Sabrina makes all of the candles. She is also more often the voice of the Pig and Peacock via social media and our blog.
Our dogs are our family and diligently stand outside the puppy gate and and watch us work (mainly to make sure we take breaks to give them treats). Opie, the senior dog, is mostly responsible for supervision of soapmaking production.
Champy loves to help, but he can only do so much with those paws. Champ likes to carry in all the packages and shopping bags of supplies we buy for Pig and Peacock (for the price of a cookie, of course).
Harry is new to the Pig and Peacock family. Like most interns he is still learning the ropes and mostly gets in the way. We think he is mostly here to socialize.
Moose is the newest member of the Pig and the Peacock family. As an intern, he's still learning the products, mostly by trying to eat them.

My soap looks different from the picture?
The Pig and the Peacock strive to make high quality soap using only use the best essential oils, fragrance oils, ingredients and butters. Since all the soaps are handmade sometimes the colors may vary from what's pictured and each batch may vary slightly as well.
Due to hot weather (it's almost always hot in Texas after all), during shipping, soaps may accumulate condensation. If that happens, unwrap them and let them sit at room temperature for about an hour. During hot weather, we may suspend the sales and shipping of certain soaps, lotion bars, and candles.
