About TheProvidenceStory

Sales 12,959
On Etsy since 2012

I started my shop in 2012 and am truly humbled by what it has become! I am a mom of three little kids and also a one-woman business; from start to finish, its all me. I work out of a small room in my home; I have one sewing machine, buy material in small quantities, and can hear my kids playing while I work. I have some stock, but not much. Most items are created when an order is placed. This may be different from the places that you normally shop, but I am confident that you will love what you receive! I strive to provide customers with pieces that are unique, exciting, and functional. I create the items that I wish I could find while browsing the stores - I like quality materials that stand out, simple design, minimal but impressive hardware, and most of all...a price point that actually makes sense.

If you are thinking about placing an order and have any questions, please reach out - I'd love to say hi and help! :)

Cancellations: not accepted

Please contact the seller if you have any problems with your order.

Payments must be made immediately via PayPal. Sorry but NO e-checks will be accepted, if you pay with an e-check I have the right to refuse it and request another form of payment. Cancellation requests will only be honored within 24 hours of placing your order.

I won't refund an order for dissatisfaction in shipping time as long as it's within the turn around time window listed under each item. If you need your order by a certain date please let me know BEFORE placing your order and I will let you know if I can accommodate...I'm always happy to try! I ship USPS Priority Mail for clutches which takes 1-3 days to get to you and includes tracking and a small amount of insurance should something happen during shipping. I ship USPS First Class Mail for keychains to keep the shipping cost low.

I ship first class international mail unless you request another method prior to ordering. The cost to bump up to priority is significantly more. Normal length of time for first class is 7-10 business days. I am not responsible for customs delays, customs fees, or damage incurred in the customs process. Once the tracking on a package begins, I am not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages.

Additional policies and FAQs

All of my items are handmade by me. This means that no two are exactly alike and differences are not only possible, but guaranteed. I also use a lot of natural materials which means that differences and imperfections are inherent. If you are looking for a handmade item (that shows signs of being made by a human being), this is the place for you!

Leather is a natural material and there WILL be differences with each and every piece. Hair on hide especially. Each piece that I use will vary from the next. Photos on listings, unless specifically stated otherwise, are an example of a past product that was made. You WILL receive a different one. A piece may contain actual scars and/or marks that the animal endured during its lifetime. The background of the cheetah print hair on hide may vary in color or have spots that vary in color as shown in the listing photo example. This is not a defect and adds to the charm of a natural and handmade product. Cheetah and leopard print may have darker or lighter colored background than what is shown in the product photos. Spots may be closer together or further apart. The actual pattern may differ.

Here, at The Providence Story, I like to keep things as natural and simple as possible. Cowhide and cow leather are VERY prone to scars, brands, and other natural marks such as mosquito bites. I always always avoid the bad ones but you may find minor marks and scars on your bags and other items. If you have an issue with this, please please refrain from ordering or speak to me prior to ordering. Thank you for understanding!
