This bit is for all the measurements of all my bracelets, since I don't always put every single measurement in my listings. I know, I probably should. Anyway.
The band itself is 5 3/8" long (13 3/4cm) and the knot is usually around half an inch, but the bracelet as a whole opens up to about 14 inches (about 40cm), so they'll fit just about anyone!
If the strings are too long, you can always cut and reknot them to fit, or just tuck them under the band.
Also, the majority of my bracelets are made with 10lb hemp, making the band 1/8" wide (2/5cm) but the ones made with the thicker 20lb hemp are about 3/16" to 1/4" wide (1/2cm). The measurements of the band width does include beads.

I absolutely love this bracelet! It's perfect! It arrived quickly and safely. Although listed as a bracelet, it doubles as a beautiful anklet!

About

Free to Change

I started thinking about making an Etsy shop in December 2011, when Justin and I were flat broke during the worst time of the year. We have so little money as it is, and before that, I had always remained positive that we would be fine with what we had.
I've had the worst luck getting an actual job, so I went to this.
At first I was spiritually opposed...the thought of actually selling my artwork was appalling to me! All of my life I had freely given away the things I made, and now I had to ask money for it. I had no doubt in my mind that people would pay for it. I just had doubt in myself. I didn't want to get caught up in the money and lose sight of what was important to me.
So far I have not lost that. Money means so little to me that I'm starting to believe it never will. If I have money, that's awesome. Money makes the world go round, and it certainly helps to have a few bucks in your pocket. But if not, that's cool too. Everything always seems to work out so that I always have a roof over my head and at least one meal in my belly.
Having an Etsy shop also gives me something to do, something that really speaks to my soul. I don't feel like I'm wasting my time anymore...it feels like I'm sharing my love of art with people who will truly enjoy it.
I could not be happier :)

I'm like a little kid sometimes. I have the free spirit of a child with just a touch of darkness, and I love to create. There is nothing in my shop that I don't personally love. If I feel that it doesn't pop or sparkle, it doesn't go in my shop.

Shop policies

Last updated on July 25, 2013
Hello everyone!
Thanks for taking the time to come to this part of my shop..not everyone reads the policies before buying and I feel that by taking a few minutes to do so it helps to avoid serious hassle in the unfortunate event of a mishap.
If something is unclear, please do not hesitate to ask me about it!

Accepted payment methods

Payment
I accept Paypal and credit/debit cards.
I do not ever see your card information. Etsy handles all of that and it is safe to use. I have used my own debit card to purchase supplies here on Etsy without any problems.

If you would like to purchase an item(s) but do not have the funds, I can reserve the item for one week upon request, but require a down payment of 25% of the cost.

Sometimes I have "other" as a payment option. This is strictly for trades and it must be cleared with me first through convo.
If you choose "other" without checking with me first, I will cancel the order and give you the option to pay for it again with an accepted method of payment.
Shipping
I almost always ship the same day I get the order, or the next business day if the post office is already closed.
I include delivery confirmation on all packages shipped within the US.

Since I have shipping costs as "Everywhere Else," if you are overcharged I will refund the extra.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please bring up any complaints within two weeks time of the item being sent out, and BEFORE leaving feedback.

Should you receive a damaged item, you can send it back for a full refund or store credit, or if you like, I can attempt to repair the item or send you a new one if I have the supplies to make an exact copy. If the item is damaged through fault of your own, I can not refund you for it.

UNITED STATES:
Delivery confirmation is included on all packages sent out in the United States...should your package get lost in the mail I can offer a refund, store credit, or a similar item of equal cost.
I cannot be responsible for theft of the package. If it says it has been delivered, it has been delivered. Be sure to check the delivery confirmation number often to see when it is expected to be delivered and check the mail asap.

EVERYWHERE ELSE:
I have to fill out a customs form for packages sent abroad. There is a number on this form, and I include it in the notification of shipment. Please note that when receiving packages from another country it can take several weeks to arrive. If you have not received your package, be sure to check with your post office first. I have heard that packages can get tied up for months in customs.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you happen to like a piece of jewelry in my shop but you want a different color hemp or without the charm or whatever it is you want done differently, convo me and I'll see if I can make a custom piece for you.

I take requests on crystal healing jewelry. If you have a problem that you want to try and fix with crystal healing, let me know.

I require a 25% deposit on custom orders.

If I don't have the supplies for a custom order on hand, I require a down payment of 50% of the cost (which is usually only about $6 or $7) so that I can order them. Yes, I could pay for them myself, but if I do that and you aren't serious about buying it, I'm losing money.

Supplies are purchased from Fire Mountain Gems and from sellers here on Etsy.

DURABILITY OF MY HEMP JEWELRY:
My hemp jewelry is quite durable. I wear mine almost every day and they're still looking great, and my oldest bracelet is about 8 months as of July. I gave a beaded bracelet to my brother he never took it off...the color faded quickly from being worn in the shower but still lasted him a few months. Another customer wore her ring in the shower often and it broke in about a month...this was a peace ring, and the string holding the charm frayed and broke. Bands without charms seem to last longer when it comes to prolonged water exposure.
I recommend that you DO NOT wear it in the shower unless you don't mind it fading or breaking too soon.

My shop can only be successful if people are happy with the way things are run and the quality of my work. Therefore, I will work with my customers and provide good quality items to the best of my ability.
Please don't hesitate to convo me with any questions or comments!
