Fun and creative parties!

Hello everyone! The Quirky Briars started in 2014, around the time Heart designed printable decorations for her sister's garden themed birthday celebration. Since then, she has continued to design printable party decors for various parties, and events for family and friends locally and abroad.

TQB runs from a home based office in Bendigo, a lovely somewhat laid back city in central Victoria, Australia. Ideas are born from simple strolls in the neighbourhood, trips to the modern local library or the interesting art district of the city, trips to neighbouring towns in the bush or the busier, more sophisticated Melbourne and Sydney, an hour or so of browsing for hidden treasures in local opportunity shops, and much more. Some of the product photography sessions are even done with a curious Australian magpie nearby, who's probably wondering what on earth is Etsy and if it is something to eat.

In 2016, TQB has started a giving back initiative, aiming to share some of its profits to help low income families and individuals with physical handicap in the central Philippine area by providing them additional means of livelihood, as well as the less fortunate elderly, by gifting them with some of the basic needs that they can no longer provide for themselves. In 2018, TQB started a basic music scholarship program for young adults who are passionate about playing the piano, but cannot afford music lessons to improve their basic skills. We have employed a part time piano teacher, a promising young man, whose income in this program helps him to gradually pay off loans for his education. We have 3 piano scholars at the moment, who we hope that one day would become competent enough on the piano, so they could (1) provide accompaniment for their church congregations during meetings, and (2) also be able to use their skills to earn a living as piano teachers, if they need to.

Please note that The Quirky Briars do not offer customization services at the moment, except if specifically noted in the item details. However, most printables in the shop are designed so that you can customize the text yourself.

Before purchasing, please read all details and policies as all items are non-refundable. If you are purchasing a digital item, please note that it is your responsibility to have access to a computer (for editing your texts) and to computer programs that will enable you to open PDF and .docx files. Also, please ensure that you have (or can get someone who has) sufficient knowledge of working with PDFs and .docx files, so you can tweak the sample texts (change font sizes, types, colours, etc.) to your heart's desire. Please do not expect TQB to do this for you, as we may not always have the luxury of time to provide these extra free services for you.

We will do our best to reply to messages/inquiries as soon as we can, but please note that we don't do any business on Sundays (Melbourne, Australia time), so any messages, requests, etc. received on Sundays will be read and dealt with as soon as possible on the following Monday. However, instant download purchases still operate automatically as usual on these days.

DIGITAL ITEMS:

Generally, there will be no returns or refunds will be issued for purchase of digital items. There is no way of returning a digital item at all. The only valid reason acceptable for a refund would be if you accidentally purchased the same digital item within 7 days after making the first purchase.


PHYSICAL ITEMS:

If you are not happy with the item you have purchased from my shop, you may return the item within 3 days of receiving the item (based on dates provided by postal service tracking). Return postage shall be the customer's responsibility.

There will be no refunds given for the cost of shipping the item to the buyer. No returns will be accepted for items returned after 5 days of being delivered to buyer.

Full refund of the price of the returned item will be issued once I have received the item, provided that the item is in the same condition as it was before it was initially sent to the buyer.

No refunds will be issued if item returned appears to be NOT in the same condition as it was before it was initially sent to the buyer.
Payment
Payments via credit card, debit card, Etsy Gift Card and PayPal are accepted.
Shipping
DIGITAL ITEMS:

Digital products in my shop are available for download instantly upon payment clearance. After payment, please go to the 'Purchases' section of your Etsy account. Within a few minutes, there should be a 'Download' link next to your item. Click on that to download digital item instantly.


PHYSICAL ITEMS:

Physical items will be posted to the buyer's Etsy shipping address, via Australia Post (AusPost). Ready made items will be shipped within 3 business days. Parcels will be sent using Parcel post service (with tracking).

In any case where tracking shows a parcel is delivered, but buyer does not receive the parcel (e.g. parcel was stolen), no refund will be issued and it will be the buyer's responsibility to file claims with the post office.

In cases where an item is undeliverable due to an incorrect address provided by the buyer, or if an item is not picked up by the buyer when a notice is left by AusPost, only the item cost but NOT the shipping cost will be refunded when the item is returned to me by AusPost. Additional shipping costs will be required from the buyer before the item will be reshipped.

Any taxes/duties charged by the buyer's government for importing goods are the customers' responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchase. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.
