What is Therapeutic Threads? I am a speech-language pathologist who has seen first hand how difficult it is for parents and therapists to find quality weighted vests, belts and blankets at an affordable price or chew items that were not silicone. There have been many times I have found myself making a vest or weighted lap pad to fit one of my students because the parents and school district could not afford to buy one but they really needed one to function at school. This is their site - this is their store. Be sure to read my shop policies for pertinent information. Each item is handmade and individual.
We are hoping to have more weighted hoodies added to the store soon. They have been requested frequently lately and sadly I am not able to get them added to my store so that others have the option of purchasing too. I am a one woman operation and work full time in the schools which became a whole new learning task during the pandemic.
If you want a specific color of an item, please contact me prior to purchase. My sensory jewelry are very customizable! Make it as unique as your child. All my products concepts have been tested on my many students prior to adding them to my store. I've been creating these items for well over 16 years.
PLEASE NOTE: Aggressive biters may be able to tear the fabric on my sensory necklaces. Please regularly inspect for signs of wear and discard the product immediately if damage is found. Recommended for ages 3+.

5 out of 5 starsI got these 2 bracelets for my 15 month old who bites her arm when she gets upset. She was biting herself 10+ times a day on the same spot, same arm. She was leaving bruises along her forearm and wrist. That's why I got one to fit her arm and one a little bit smaller to fit her wrist. They are very soft material and she doesn't seem to mind them being on! Thank you Cindy, you truly are a lifesaver to my babies little arm!

Thank you for shopping handmade and a small business. I appreciate it.
As a speech-language pathologist, I found that many of the therapy items I needed to work with kids were so costly. In order to provide the best services possible, I ended up making most of my materials. I then began working with occupational therapists and physical therapists, designing and creating materials. I found myself making weighted vests, compression belts, and other items to help out our students and their families. This is how this store started many years ago, primarily by "word of mouth". It has evolved into a store that ships internationally through Etsy as well as a few wholesale groups. The hundreds of children that I have worked with over the years have done the majority of the "testing" of my designs to ensure quality. I love each and every one of them.
All the items currently listed are what we have in stock at this time. If you don't see what you are looking for, please ask. I love doing custom orders. Thanks for supporting a true small business.

All items are created and designed by me. These designs have been used for many years with hundreds of my students.
While I try to make items as inexpensive as possible for you, the materials are often costly. Therefore I am unable to offer multiple order or wholesale prices at this time. I am working to find quality materials at lower prices to allow me the ability to offer these services to you. I'll let you know when that happens. Thanks!
NOTE: Please check with your occupational therapist or pediatrician to determine the most appropriate weight for you or your child.
I am happy to do custom items - please contact me (therapeuticthreads@yahoo.com) for information. See what you want but not in the right fabric or color, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

- Custom or personalized orders
- Perishable products (like food or flowers)

- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

Returns and exchange details
To process your returns:
1. Contact Therapeutic Threads within 30 days to be given Return Authorization
2. Return unused merchandise in its original condition and packaging (if appropriate).
3. Ship the package to Therapeutic Threads (contact for address) within 14 days of receiving approval of return.
4. For all returns, we will credit the account of the original purchaser for returned items, minus a restocking fee of 10%. All returned merchandise must be in a resalable, unused condition. The customer is responsible for properly packaging return shipment to Therapeutic Threads. Credits will not be issued for items received in non-resalable condition. Freight charges are not credited. All credits must be redeemed within 180 days.
*For health and hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns on oral care items that have been opened/used.
Payment
If I haven't heard from you or received your payment after 5 days, I reserve the right to cancel the sale and relist the item. Please contact me with any questions.
