Exciting News...The Raw Canvas is proud to announce that one of Stacy's paintings will again appear in a major motion picture - "The Smurfs 2". The painting will be staged in the Winslow Apartment. This is fantastic news since one of her pieces was in the Original Smurfs movie that was released in summer of 2011.

Artist Statement - Abstract Paintings by Stacy Hollinger
Stacy is a self-taught visual artist who paints large, multi-panel abstract paintings using mixed media on canvas. Her work is collected all over the world from Spain to Australia to North America. She has created and sold over 1500 paintings. Stacy’s work was recently purchased by Columbia Pictures for set design in two major motion pictures – Smurfs and Smurfs 2.
Stacy creates using a variety of mediums. Starting out her career using mainly encaustic paint on canvas panel, she has now developed a passion for using acrylic and oil. The variety of mediums assists with the creative process. Stacy is usually working on several pieces at once in order to keep from focusing too much on one idea. Her modern abstract paintings are a collaboration of controlled, deliberate rudiments mixed with uninhibited, unrestrained elements.
The process of encaustic painting has influenced all her works regardless of the medium utilized. Encaustic painting is inherently very difficult to control. She has learned to become more flexible with the desired outcome of the work. You must learn the art of recognizing when an abstract painting is finished otherwise a few more strokes with the encaustic paint and you can ruin a beautiful piece.
Stacy is blessed with a wonderful, understanding husband and two beautiful and talented girls. In 2006 Stacy left her corporate IT position to pursue her artwork fulltime and started her business – The Raw Canvas. This allowed her to balance her family life with her artwork. Without the support of her family, pursuing her passion would not be possible.

If payment is not made within 24 hours of purchase the painting will be relisted for sale.
Shipping
You will receive a tracking number once the item has shipped.
Duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
Reproductions are printed on demand and will take 1-2 weeks to manufacture.
I take special care in packaging my paintings. They are bubblewrapped and placed into a custom size shipping box. Please be careful when unwrapping paintings. Do not use a knife or sharp object to cut the bubblewrap as you may damage the paintings. Do not let the packing tape stick to the painting as it may damage the surface.
