Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Returns and exchange details
We love old things and you're here, so we figure you do too. All items are in various states of wear, and we do our best to describe them accurately. It is the customer's responsibility to read the listing description before purchasing. Keep in mind, it's best for you and us to communicate prior to purchasing, and we're glad to answer questions.

RETURNS: Things happen and we do accept returns. Please keep in mind, we sell one of a kind items and we take care in packaging. Time, transportation, packaging - these all have costs. And keep in mind, we're a small business, not a big corporation. So though we love happy customers, and we want to see you back again, we do have a restocking fee if you decide to return. So it's best to ask questions before purchasing, and do yourself one better and pick up and pay in person, so you can see it, touch it, feel it, and pay for it in one fell swoop. Then it's a done deal.

We accept returns on a case by case basis. Customers must contact us within 3 days of delivery to request a return, and if approved, must send back within 7 days only after getting specific return instructions from us. Worst case scenario, if we significantly misrepresented the item (like we send you two left shoes when you bought a right and a left), we refund shipping and the cost of the item. Otherwise, customer pays shipping and handling both ways and we charge a 25% restocking fee. Items with free shipping, when returned, will be charged original shipping and handling fees along with the restocking fee. Any approved returns must be sent back with signature confirmation and fully insured - you must make arrangements with us in advance before any returns.

EU buyers - We comply with our own local laws regarding returns; please take into consideration before purchasing. We're not in the EU.

VINTAGE CLOTHING: All clothing and shoes are sold as display items due to age and may not have been worn in many years. If you choose to use and wear, we do not guarantee their integrity.

CANCELLATIONS: We start processing an order when we receive it. Things happen. So though we love happy customers, we may charge a percentage of the sale price to cancel an order, depending on how much work we've put into the order prior to cancellation.

SHIPPING ISSUES: If a package is damaged or lost by the shipping company, customers agree to work directly with us, contact us directly, ask us for help, etc. to file a claim through the shipping company for reimbursement. And we have the final say.
Payment
*We accept a variety of payment methods - contact us before purchasing if you don't see your option of choice.

We ship after payment clears our bank and/or we have cash in hand (i.e. your money goes all the way from you to us). Read on to see how long that might be for your payment of choice.

We generally ship most items 1-5 business days after payment clears. Shipments of large pieces are determined by carrier and destination - please contact us for a S&H quote with your location and time frame.

ONLINE PAYMENTS: Online payments (i.e. Paypal, credit and debit cards, e-check, Etsy Direct Checkout) can take 4-6 business days to clear.

MAILED PAYMENTS: Checks, money order, and cashier's checks accepted - Please contact us for instructions before purchasing. We expect mailed payments to arrive to us within one week of purchase. Tracking and other information may be requested at the shop's discretion. These can take a few weeks to clear, depending on the bank.

CASH: Cash is accepted for local pick up.

SALES TAX: Sales tax is collected by Etsy depending on your location. We’re in CA.

INVOICING FOR S&H: For some items, S&H is listed at a penny and information is requested to process the order. These items are considered local pickup by default. You are paying for the item only. After that, we’ll make arrangements with you to pay for S&H. As this is partly a service, and customers are technically hiring us, per Etsy policy compliance, you will be invoiced separately. Please contact us with any questions.
Shipping
FOR SPECIAL CARE ITEMS: Carriers will only deliver and relinquish to the person who ordered the item. We reserve the right to do this on all items.

COMBINED SHIPPING: We have large and small items, so combined shipping is sometimes, though not always, feasible. Please contact us with your list before purchasing. Your location and time frame in your first email will help expedite the process. If for some reason, S&H costs are significantly different from stated costs or combined shipping is inaccurate, we will send you a reserved S&H listing to purchase and handling time will be adjusted accordingly depending on payment time frame.

EXPRESS SHIPPING: Sometimes you need something quick. When you need an item quickly, contact us prior to purchasing with your time frame and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Additional shipping and handling charges will apply. Please keep in mind, though we love happy customers, sometimes we are unable to accommodate last minute requests.

LOCAL PICK UP: All items available for local pick up in Central California. Cash accepted for local pick up unless arrangements are made in advance. No returns. Handling charges may apply for large items. Items are considered abandoned after 7 days and will be resold without refund unless prior arrangements are made. We're glad to work with anyone under reasonable circumstances. Communication is paramount.

***If a customer refuses to pay for S&H, we will assume that you will be picking up and will change your S&H pricing to local pick up pricing and/or delivery. If you refuse to pay for either of those, we will consider your purchased item abandoned, you will receive no refund, and the item will be relisted and may be resold. If you choose local pick up, to verify you've received the item and approve, you will leave 5 star feedback or if we deliver to a 3rd party, you will approve it through them and leave 5 star feedback before we release it. This indicates you’ve had the opportunity to look over the item and inspect it. This is by no means required, yet we will not release the item unless you are completely satisfied.***

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: International shipping is available for some items from a fee. If charges do not go through Etsy’s system for some reason, which is known to happen, we will send you a reserved listing to purchase. If you purchase something, and we don't ship to your location or there are issues with the postal system with everything going on in the world (e.g. Italy, Spain, Africa, Middle East, China, etc, etc), your order may be cancelled. This is determined by the reliability of each country's mail system, our shipping carriers, cost, customs laws, etc, things outside our control. This may change depending on what's going on in the world and in the mail system and we hope things calm down so we can go back to regular international shipping like we used to.

TIME FRAME: Most items are shipped out 1-5 business days after payment clears. Shipping times vary by carrier, weather, holidays, etc. Shipments may be slightly delayed over major holidays. We're human and so is the postal service - no guarantees on shipping time.

CARRIERS: We use a variety of carriers, depending on time frame, size and type of package and insurance needs. If you need a shipment expedited, please contact us with your timeline and location ASAP.

HANDLING: All shipping quotes include a handling fee to partially compensate for fees, insurance, signature confirmation, time, and packaging costs. We hand package every piece. We're not Amazon and we're not in China. We sell one of a kind pieces and each one gets handled as such.

TRACKING: All items have tracking so you should see them cross the state, country, or world! Items over $150 may include shipping insurance and/or signature confirmation.

FREIGHT FOR LARGE PIECES: Some larger items are shipped by freight. Handling fees apply. All large items, furniture sized, have an handling time, determined by carrier and your location - please contact us for a shipping and handling quote and time frame.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS: Customs charges are determined by the receiving country. Buyers are responsible for all charges, which can typically be estimated prior to purchase. Customs laws are different for each country. Keep in mind, some countries place restrictions on certain kinds of artwork, so please research customs for artwork before purchasing. We provide accurate info on customs documents.

ALASKA & HAWAII: Customers wishing to ship to Alaska and Hawaii must contact us in advance. S&H costs will be additional to what is listed.

We request your direct contact information to process your order: mailing address, phone number, email address. We may use these to contact you regarding your shipment.

Shippers may also use this information to contact you when your shipment is available for pick up, or if there is some issue with your shipment (e.g. lost, delayed, customs charges due, etc., etc.). Please take this into consideration when you choose the information you'd like to provide to us. Of course, anything you provide via Etsy is shared with Etsy.
