I started this shop in 2013 after receiving my BFA in Illustration from the American Academy of Art in Chicago. While looking around for any opportunity I could that would lead to steady work I decided I would start my own art and handmade business.

I listed my first item which was a hand painted TARDIS suncatcher on plexi glass and that was it for a long time. The listing expired and I worked at some part time jobs for a while trying to save some money. My shop sat empty, all but forgotten for about a year and a half. While I was working to grow my savings a little I was scheming in my mind about what I could do to also grow my business and gain a clientele.

I eventually moved into a new apartment and set up shop. I took over the main living area with my huge desk and made a little workshop for myself. I was just doing my paintings for a while and all was well and good. My subject matter is usually a bit more on the side of surrealism so I wasn't sure if that would be enough to get the attention from my potential customers. I decided to expand a bit into handmade accessories like bottle cap jewelry. In the beginning I just did my own art in the bottle caps but then I expanded into lots of pop culture stuff. I've been working on creating more pop culture themed earrings and pendants and I find it really fun to make earrings that relate to the things that I enjoy like Doctor Who and David Bowie and so on. I went out and sold in person at various craft and antique shows and found that people really enjoyed my creations.

As of now I am working on new illustrations and continuing to expand my offerings so that every one who visits my store can find something to enjoy.
