The 411:
I originally created therine because I came up empty handed when I went to find a guitar strap that matched my style. The options were either plain (no personality), or had overly masculine motifs like flames, skulls, spikes...etc. No thanks! I'm a designer by day, so my mind naturally started filling with ideas for making my own, and it hasn't stopped since.

My straps are designed for a more refined customer- someone who likes vintage, color, glam, rock, and a little bit of rockabilly. Someone who has this kind of style and wants their guitar strap to match it. Men and Women.

The Details:
I create all my straps by layering strips of ribbon or taping onto an existing base strap, and then finish with a collection of found pieces or remnants at the shoulder. The result is a detailed and one-of-a-kind guitar strap that doesn't look like any others out there.

You can see all of the straps I've ever created on my Flickr at:

And you can see the inspirations behind my straps on my blog at: www.therineinspiration.blogspot.com

*I've also recently started selling vintage accessories. This happened solely out of my own love for them, and I think they pair well with my straps.

The Point:
Etsy & therine have become valuable creative outlets for me, in ways that my day job can't. The personal aspect of my work here is really refreshing and grounding. I love that something I design & sew in my Seattle studio apartment can ship straight to you- no outside opinions or company meetings involved! That's the way the world should work, don't you think?

Returns and exchanges
If you are unsatisfied with your item, please send me a message/email and I'll be happy to work with you to find a solution.
Payment
Now accepting both PayPal and Etsy's direct checkout! Please pay for your item within 3 days.

Orders will be prepared and shipped upon receipt and clearance of payment. I have found that with Paypal this sometimes takes 2-3 days after you place your order.

*Of course you and I both have to follow all the Etsy rules and regulations as well, so take a look at those too.
Shipping
I ship via USPS first class/regular mail, in order to get the best rate (which saves you money!), and I add insurance because my straps cannot be exactly recreated due to the 'found pieces' nature of some of the elements.

If you live outside of the USA please send me a message with your location and I will calculate the shipping for you!

Please let me know any other specific shipping preferences you may have.
Additional policies and FAQs
All my pieces are made in a smoke-free environment. I do share my apartment with a single black cat (Miss Sixty, meow). I keep my Etsy items out of her reach, but if you have severe allergies, take note.

I can occasionally do a custom order, which I generally charge around $50-$55 for, though the price will depend on the details of the job. Please send me a message if you are interested.
