Hello! My name is Rossana, I am a crazy mind, fanatical animal lover, compulsive devourer of chocolate and concerts and rock music, Murakami books and good beers in company, and I created Rock Couture already three years ago.
Rock Couture is an idea of clothing that is aimed at a woman who wants to feel free to express her personality every day and on every occasion, which does not conform within the social schemes, and much less the mainstream fashion business.

THE STORY OF A JOURNEY OUT OF THE DARK

In a dark period of my life I decided to take my destiny into my own hands and, instead of being overwhelmed by events, take the opportunity of chaos to turn it into a creative explosion.
I have always liked fashion, and therefore, with zero experience of tailoring, I started this journey by attending a cutting and sewing course that provided me with the basics from which to experiment in freedom, without schemes or rigid dictates, letting fantasy take over rationality.
Overcoming a thousand difficulties, and with the strength of passion for this work, I began to shape Rock Couture inspired by the world of music, which for me has always been a way to express my desire for freedom, joy, inventive impulse, and just as music includes various nuances, even in my creations I try to express this eclecticism with models that see tulle coexist with African wax fabrics, chiffon with custom prints, pin-up style clothes with harem pants.

MY PERSONAL REBEL REVOLUTION IN FASHION

I sew my rebellious creations in my small workshop in the province of Padua, Italy. From here I carry on my creative revolution to support the rebirth of every woman, a manifesto of freedom, possibility of expression, uniqueness and reaffirmation of a strong personality through original clothes, sewn around you and together with you.
Each of us is different and precious, and there are far too many people who do not recognize our true value, do not listen to us or even give us a voice!
That's why my brand puts each of you at the center, enhancing you, starting from the choice of fabrics to sew my creations, up to taking you by the hand, creating and adapting together, where possible, the model to your needs.
Driven by the desire to propose something unique, that only my "kindred souls" (I do not like the word customers) could wear in the world, I recently began to personally choose the graphics for my garments, collaborating with illustrators and artists from all over the world, whose works become part of my creative process, and allow me to create unique garments, which only those who decide to wear Rock Couture can have. The patterns and illustrations are then printed on fabric by an Italian company that I chose for the attention it places on the quality of the proposed fabrics, the low ecological footprint of its production, and the use of GOTS certified fabric.
Mine is a small business, I do not produce anything in series, but only limited edition garments, with enormous passion for what I do, and with a maniacal care, bordering on the pathological, of the details. I select the materials I work from companies with a clear work ethic, respectful of the environment, which do not exploit labor and, as far as African fabrics are concerned, from companies that produce directly in Africa, helping the growth of local populations. If you also care about these values, you will be able to give the right value to a handmade clothing with these characteristics.

SEMPLICEMENTE…IO.

Ciao! Mi chiamo Rossana, sono una mente pazza, fanatica amante degli animali, divoratrice compulsiva di cioccolata e di concerti e musica rock, di libri di Murakami e di buone birre in compagnia, e ho creato Rock Couture ormai già tre anni fa.
Rock Couture è un’idea di abbigliamento che si rivolge ad una donna che vuole sentirsi libera di esprimere la propria personalità ogni giorno e in ogni occasione, che non si omologa all’interno degli schemi sociali, e tantomeno del fashion business mainstream.

LA STORIA DI UN VIAGGIO FUORI DALL’OSCURITA’

In un periodo buio della mia vita ho deciso di prendere in mano il mio destino e, anziché essere sopraffatta dagli eventi, cogliere l’occasione del caos per tramutarlo in un’esplosione creativa.
Mi è sempre piaciuta la moda, e quindi, con zero esperienza di sartoria, ho iniziato questo viaggio frequentando un corso di taglio e cucito che mi ha fornito le basi dalle quali partire per sperimentare in libertà, senza schemi né dettami rigidi, lasciando che la fantasia prendesse il sopravvento sulla razionalità.
Superando mille difficoltà, e con la forza della passione per questo lavoro, ho iniziato a plasmare Rock Couture ispirandomi al mondo della musica, che per me è sempre stata un modo per esprimere la mia voglia di libertà, di gioia, di impulso inventivo, e proprio come la musica include varie sfumature, anche nelle mie creazioni cerco di esprimere questa ecletticità con modelli che vedono convivere il tulle con i tessuti wax africani, lo chiffon con le stampe personalizzate, i vestiti in stile pin-up con i pantaloni harem pants.

LA MIA PERSONALE RIVOLUZIONE RIBELLE NELLA MODA

Cucio le mie creazioni ribelli nel mio piccolo laboratorio in provincia di Padova, in Italia. Da qui porto avanti la mia rivoluzione creativa per supportare la rinascita di ogni donna, un manifesto di libertà, possibilità di espressione, unicità e riaffermazione di una forte personalità attraverso abiti originali, cuciti attorno a voi e insieme a voi.
Ognuna di noi è diversa e preziosa, e ci sono fin troppe persone che non riconoscono il nostro vero valore, non ci danno ascolto e nemmeno voce!
Ecco perché il mio brand mette al centro ognuna di voi, valorizzandovi, partendo dalla scelta dei tessuti per cucire le mie creazioni, fino a prendervi per mano, creando ed adattando assieme, ove possibile, il modello alle vostre esigenze.
Spinta dal desiderio di proporre qualcosa di unico, che solo le mie “anime affini” (non mi piace la parola clienti) potessero indossare nel mondo, ho iniziato di recente a scegliere personalmente le grafiche per i miei capi, collaborando con illustratori ed artisti di tutto il mondo, le cui opere entrano a far parte del mio processo creativo, e mi consentono di creare dei capi unici, che solo chi decide di indossare Rock Couture può avere. I patterne e le illustrazioni vengono poi stampati su tessuto da un'azienda italiana che ho scelto per l’attenzione che pone sulla qualità dei tessuti proposti, la bassa impronta ecologica della sua produzione, e l'uso di tessuto certificati GOTS.
La mia è una piccola attività, non produco nulla in serie, ma solo capi a tiratura limitata, con enorme passione per quello che faccio, e con una cura maniacale, al limite del patologico, dei dettagli. Seleziono I materiali che lavoro da aziende con un'etica lavorativa chiara, rispettose dell'ambiente, che non sfruttano la manodopera e, per quanto riguarda i tessuti africani, da aziende che producono direttamente in Africa, aiutando la crescita delle popolazioni locali. Se anche tu hai a cuore questi valori, saprai dare il giusto valore ad un abbigliamento fatto a mano con queste caratteristiche..
