Insurance is to protect against loss or damage during shipping. If you choose not to buy insurance and your purchase is lost or damaged by USPS, we cannot provide a refund! All purchases are shipped by USPS and insured through USPS.

In the case that your shipment is lost or damaged in transit; you are responsible to file the claim with USPS. We are not responsible for lost packages during transit!
 We are not responsible for shipments sent to forwarding services or companies, if you place an order and your shipping address is a forwarding address you are responsible for contacting your forwarding company or service to locate your shipment.

We are also not responsible to weather related damage or delays. Once the package leaves our hands it is completely out of our control!

Refunds and Returns

We do not provide refunds, but we do want to make sure you get the right fit and we will work with you to make sure that happens. Please make sure to read the entire detail listing for each piece, as some pieces are one of a kind. It is the buyer’s responsibility to follow the instructions for measuring their body, and contacting us should they require additional help.

Please check the measurements of the garment against your own measurements to ensure a proper fit. Please refer to our policy page for information on how to measure yourself. As a customer it is your responsibility to accurately measure and understand what you are buying. I cannot give refunds or accept returns so please measure carefully!

Shipping

In stock items are packaged and shipped within 48 hours after they are paid. We ship Monday through Saturday using USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate packaging. We do NOT ship outside the US. We will combine multiple orders whenever we can. We will provide you with a tracking number as soon as your order ships. All shipping charges are non-refundable.

We occasionally send more valuable packages with signature confirmation so USPS cannot drop a valuable package on a porch and walk away leaving it open to theft or loss. We utilize this service at our discretion. No loss claims can be filed on a package that is signed for or when signature confirmation is waived by the customer. Damage claims can be filed as stated in our other policies.

Measurements

Necessary measurements are listed in the description of each item. Measurements provided are in inches. Color shades of fabric can vary slightly and may differ slightly from photos. But we strive to provide accurate photos for each listing. By placing an order, you agree that you have read our shop policies and the item description. All problems are entirely solvable, please contact the shop if you have any problems with your order. Together we can find the best possible solution.

How to measure your waist

To determine where your natural waist is, tie a string around your waist, bend over and then stand up straight again. The string will automatically roll to your natural waistline. This will probably be on or above your belly button. Then measure at the smallest point (your natural waist) holding the measuring tape as tight as possible but still comfortable. *If you are unsure of what size to pick, please contact us with your measurements, and will help you pick the correct size.

How to measure your bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust, across the nipples and straight across your back. Hold the tape measure as tightly as you would wear the top of your corset. Wear a bra that gives good support and is not padded. Do not measure over the top of any kind of shirt as this will add bulk. Keep your back and shoulders straight and breathe normally. Use a soft measuring tape. *If you are unsure of what size to pick, please contact us with your measurements, and will help you pick the correct size.

Address Verification

Please verify your correct shipping address is entered in your order detail. We ship packages to the address on your account in Etsy or PayPal (if you paid with PayPal) and our orders are sometimes packed too quickly for a change to be made through Etsy messaging.

Etsy pulls shipping addresses from your PayPal account when paying with PayPal, so be careful not to click through check out without reading where your package is going.

Damaged Package Claims

Priority Mail only includes $100 of insurance, so we highly encourage you to purchase the shipping upgrade for optional insurance as many items in the shop will not be covered if something were to happen to them during shipping.

These damages are NOT covered: 1) Dog or another animal chewing up package. 2)Items inside cut by careless package opening. 3) Neglecting to pick up package from mail box or delivery location promptly resulting in heat, rain, or other damage as a result. 4) Not providing a safe place for delivery. Packages left outside apartment doors are not safe. 5) Customer supplied incorrect address.

To file a claim, within 7 days of receipt, submit a photograph of the package damage and the damaged item with an explanation.

Shipping Insurance and claims

We are happy to enter the claim for you on USPS should one be needed and make a reshipment of your package if a claim is paid and the item is able to be reproduced. If you enter the claim online yourself, we are unable to do anything further for you regarding your damaged package.

To file a claim, you must notify The Royal Stitchery within 7 days after the delivery of your package with pictures. In some cases, we will have to wait on USPS approval to proceed with your replacement package. Don't throw away the packaging until your claim is completed.

If your package is missing, it will be 15 days before a claim can be filed with USPS. We aim for quick and accurate deliveries, but lost packages happen and are out of our control.
