This necklace is currently the coolest thing I own! The craftpersonship is excellent. I enjoy explaining the various metals in the piece and how they were recycled to make the necklace. Very unique and creative!

Old metal + new design = matter reborn.

Busted, burnished and weathered things have a special place in my world. These objects have had a rich life before I find them. Usually they have been handled, loved and used to virtual oblivion, or tossed around recklessly by the wind. This gives them a special power. They have seen the world, and, they have a story to tell.

Like a nervous twitch, I've been bending down and picking up these objects for as long as I can remember. About 10 years ago, I decided that this collection of mystery metal/found objects needed to be put to good use: wearable art. With a background in painting and mixed media art, plus one basic metal smithing class behind me, I have been teaching myself new cold fuse techniques ever since. Each piece of jewelry that I make is infused with the spirit of the past but designed with a true love for modernity.

Each one of a kind piece that comes out of my studio has been lovingly designed, hand cut, filed, sanded and assembled by me. My hope is that each piece tells a story that resonates with the unique personality of each vintage/salvaged material used, as well as standing as a solid example of modern craftsmanship and design. Each piece ships in an artfully wrapped package that is ready to give as a gift (or, of course, keep!)
