Announcement   Screaming Horse Iron Works is owned and operated by Alex Trumble behind our house full of screaming kids. We are nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains along the "Mighty" Pacolet River just outside of Tryon, North Carolina.
Most of my inspiration comes from nature with a touch of daily life added in. My art ranges from welded scrap to refined hand forged pieces. The letters were born out of gifts for our kids teachers and have expanded from there. I love lighting and have just begun to add lights to my growing line of metal works. At this time blacksmithing is a love not a living but times are a changing. Please feel free to contact me with your next project or idea.
Thank you for your time - alex

About

Jack of all trades strives to become a successful metal artist.

After hanging around a friend"s blacksmith shop one day, I was hooked. Fire, white hot metal, and beating things with a hammer, hey why not.

I began searching for metal working tools of my own almost immediately and gathered enough items to get me started blacksmithing. I made and repaired a few things here and there for years and even had the good fortune to attend John C Campbell Folk School, but I just could not seem to make that final step.

I have been an artist my whole life but I think that Etsy has sparked and renewed my confidence by presenting me with an outlet to The World.

Thank you for stopping by and check back now and again as I am always pondering different ideas new and old.
