This is my Maker Space! Shelves of supplies, bins upon bins, and my best friend and demanding office cat,Jack.

How it happened -

The Slug and Kraken came to life in early 2014, after I discovered the art form of Polymer Clay while playing with the kids I nannied. The pliant, colorful, 3D nature of the clay was a new and stirring form I quickly became obsessed with! Focusing on my passion for underwater life, many of the creations I produce are inspired by the weird and wonderful world beneath the waves, such as my first creation ever, The Noble Sea Lemon Nudibranch. Many pieces are intended to reflect and bring awareness to the beautiful, but fragile worlds of the ocean. In 2017 I began to dabble in resin, which allowed me an oceanic transparency and lightness of materials that clay could not. As such, many of my original works have become the base of stronger, lighter, beautifully glass-like, durable resin pieces. When I moved to Florida in 2018, I discovered the Mermaiding Community and my ocean-loving soul found exuberance in finally living a life-long dream of being a mermaid. So you see, every piece of treasure from The Slug and Kraken is made by a Mermaid. Weird is Wonderful!
