Hello friend!

Starla here, creator of The Stellar Stop. Thanks so much for stopping by my shop!

I'm a mom of two grown boys with families of their own, including 7 grandbabies for me to love on! I'm also an animal lover and currently pet mom to my senior pets: My favorite dog, Emmett, a Shih Tzu rescue who's nearly 15, and my tiny cat, Chloe, who will be 18 in June and is maybe 5 lbs on her heaviest day.

I'm a Kentucky girl at heart, growing up in Louisville then relocating to Indianapolis in 2003. My background is in medical, from office management to pharmacy, but when I moved to Michigan in 2018, I decided to go full time with my side job: selling on eBay.

In September of 2019, health issues forced my senior mom to leave her property of 30 years and it worked out best for her to move in with me. We know what happened next: the SHUT DOWN. I was already isolated, and life just started feeling very overwhelming with loneliness in a new place and my mom's many health problems and hospital visits. I started looking up different craft ideas to help me calm my mind, and after a few unfulfilling activities, I stumbled across mandala dot painting!

This is where it ALL took a turn! Learning to paint opened up an entirely new world for me. It not only relaxed me and forced me to focus on something else, but it gave me an opportunity to express myself and CREATE. Pretty soon I was trying to find different items to paint mandala art on including clothes and canvases....but I kept coming back to the stones. Since then my painting has branched out to jewelry, bookmarks, keychains, and large wall art....but I continue to love making blank stones for my shop and I get excited every time I find a new mold that I love!

My hope is that by providing the best quality of stones, I'll help you find your own passion with rock painting! I've worked hard with different mixes and molds to ensure the quality of your items, and I LOVE hearing from people and seeing finished art when buyers post after pics!

I had no idea what was getting ready to happen when I painted my first little rock I found in our driveway, and I want you to know from my experience that anything is possible! Even when things look, or just feel, really hard...as long as we keep putting one foot in front of the other, the doors stay open for miracles!
