Thank you for checking out The Sweet Emulsion.

All prints are printed by hand in the darkroom with traditional chemistry. Unless otherwise noted, each print is toned with selenium for archivality. If you would like a different type of tone in the final print or any matting/framing work, please "convo" me and I'll be more than happy to work with you to make a final product that is personalized.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I strive to make all of my prints and products the best possible. As such, I promise that I will not sell any item that is not up to my own high standards. I cannot provide refunds or exchanges on items that have been damaged by conditions outside of my control (i.e., direct sun damage, non-chemical staining, etc.).
I accept Paypal, personal check, or money order.

If paying with Paypal, please click on the "pay with paypal" button at the end of the checkout to complete your transaction.

If paying by personal check or money order, I will ship upon receiving your payment.

Payment is due at the time of purchase. If for some reason you cannot make the payment, please "convo" me so we can cancel the order and relist.
I ship all 8x10 prints and larger items Priority Mail with signature confirmation.

I ship small items (post cards, magnets, etc.) First Class.

I can also ship internationally First Class. Shipping time for international customers depends on how long the package is held at the border. If the price is comparable, I will upgrade to Priority International at no extra cost.

If you would like another form of shipping, please "convo" me and I will be more than happy to adjust your invoice and make alternative shipping arrangements.
Additional policies and FAQs
I love convos and personalized orders, so if you have any questions or requests just ask and I will be happy to respond. I am particularly interested in customized print orders using your own vintage negatives.

I am open to wholesale inquiries on my handmade greeting cards.

I am also open to Alchemy requests. I love new challenges!

All prints must be stored flat or framed in an acid-free environment with low humidity and moderate temperature (50 - 85 deg. F). If storing multiple prints in the same container, use acid-free paper to seperate the prints.

When framing work for my clients (or for myself), I use acid-free materials throughout the piece (e.g., mats, backing board, linen tape, etc.). I prefer to use glass in my frames for its durability against scratching. When hanging framed art work, be sure to avoid direct sunlight and other constant light sources.

If you are unsure of how to store/display ANY artwork, please convo me for information. I work at a museum and have experience in archival techniques.
