Hi I'm based in Belfast Northern Ireland, after being made redundant due to Covid-19 I decided to go into business on my own.
Hi, my name is Mandy, based in Belfast but from South County Down Northern Ireland. In the early 1990s I studied Embroidery at the University of Ulster Belfast. I enjoy many varied arts and crafts and prefer to work with natural materials, glass, metal, stone, cotton and wool. I draw inspiration from the landscape around me, from the Mourne mountains to the Antrim coast, the colour palette and textures of the rocks, plants and water. I find ancient Irish stone carvings of particular interest and often reflect these patterns in my textile work. All items listed are made by myself, textile pieces may vary slightly as they are freehand work. Thanks for looking 💕
