The shiboridashi is beautiful! However, it is not suitable for oolong or any high temperature teas. The "handle" spots on the side heat up too much to comfortably pour. I ran some tests and the shiboridashi is best used for teas around 185F and below (green yellow and white tea). It is comfortable to pour in that range of temperature. Overall great communication and customer service!

It gladdens my heart to read that someone is enjoying their tea ware!

I love these maple leaf plates! They are so beautiful, detailed and realistic! I bought them to match my antique tea pot and tea cups my Grandma gave me! They match perfectly and I can't wait to have an authentic tea ceremony with them! Part of the ceremony includes talking about the wonderful artist who handmakes the pieces and how they are made! Thanks so much!

These maple leaf plates are so beautiful, detailed and realistic looking! I love them! I bought them to match my antique teapot and tea cups to use in my Japanese tea ceremony! They match perfectly and will add so much much to my tea ceremony. Because they are handmade by a wonderful artist, we can have a conversation about the artist, how they are made and the fine quality of these pieces during the tea ceremony. Thank you so much!

This is exactly the mystical coloring book I’ve been looking for, as I explore new (to me) forms of spirituality. The calendar part was a cool bonus. It was shipped between sturdy cardboard so nothing was wrinkled or bent. The paper is good-quality cardstock with a bit of a shine, ideal for my colored pencils! I like supporting small shops that are putting this kind of thought into the world. Thanks!

I requested this design from Amanda... They are "just as expected"...I LOVE them! They are very sturdy (not so easy to tip over* big plus), beautifully hand-crafted. The goblets came very well wrapped/protected. I am very happy to date with all of my purchases from this shop. Do I recommend this shop? Absolutely! Thumbs way up!

It looks great, feels great, and is great. The only problem is that there is no splash guard, but that's a minor set back. Love it!

Amanda really captured the feel of out in nature and rustic in this "raw" ceramic piece. I enjoy using this more raw less dramatic piece with some of my other more colorful, more dramatic ceramic pieces. Great work. Great communication, great products, great service...A+ all the way around :) Recommend this shop :) Thank you Amanda!

Beautifully done. LOVE Amanda's work. I love the glaze coloring on this piece and another similar piece I had ordered in the past. I am also currently in the planning stage to order more ceramics from this shop. I recommend this shop for quality products and quality service. My packages from this shop have come very well wrapped and protected. Thank you again Amanda!

I am totally happy with this purchase! Great communication. Shipped timely. Very well packaged/protected shipment. I love my new green leaf plate! It is well built - thin enough to have a delicateness (like real leaves) and yet sturdy enough too to withstand usage without looking too awkwardly bulky, complementing the shine of the glazing. The shop owner only had one left :( I plan to buy more of them when more are ready :) These plates are seasonal in that they are made from real leaf impressions when the leaves are available/in season. Worth the wait I might add. You cannot just walk into any ole store and get something like this. Thumbs way up! Recommend this shop. Thank you!
I am Amanda, a nature-lovin’-tea-steepin’-mud-slingin’ creator. Welcome to the 3 of Cups Communitea!
I am really into tea (obsessively so) and sip part time work at a local tea shop. I enjoy UX design systems, illustration, ceramics & sculpture, and oil painting.
The foundation of my artistic nature was growing up wild in the red rocks of Moab area, shortly proceeded by the refining fires of a B.A. from Westminster College. I have a psych minor and draw strongly from the archetypal influences laid out by Carl Jung. I learned a lot about different styles and methods of expression. My emphasis was painting and drawing, but as soon as I threw my first cup in a ceramics class, I was hooked. I had fallen in love with the mud.
I use the technical and assessment skills gained in the painting and drawing major as I glaze and stain my pottery. I enjoy sitting and hand-painting each piece, inspecting each detail formed in the creation process.
I have 2 mediums of focus right now: ceramic tea ware/sculpture & digital artwork.
Ceramics/Sculpture: I work primarily from commissions, though I do keep my shop stocked with current work. Visit my website, thetreepot.com to view my creator portfolios. Follow me on Instagram @thetreepot to see what I’m currently producing. My turn around time is 5-6 weeks on custom ceramic work, depending on the complexity of the order and the size of the piece/s.
Digital Artwork: my illustrations consist of animal and people portraits, children’s book illustration, and gaming application visual design. I may throw out a wicked custom D&D character portrait now and again. I am used to working with diverse people and in a variety of styles. I enjoy customizing to my clients satisfaction.
I work quickly, I am a solid communicator, and I deliver on time: these are rare traits for an artist and I’ve worked over a decade in cultivating these necessary habits. This is what I was born to do.
I look forward to working with you in the near future!
