Announcement   The creations made in this shop are inspired by all spirits we share this planet with. In this nature, I strive to use to most Earth friendly materials and techniques when making art. All items in the store take several days to make and cannot be recreated. These ancient techniques take time and add to the uniqueness of each piece.

Using primitive dye methods in the fashion industry is known as the Slow Textile Movement. The items created are all washed by hand and hung on a clothing line to dry. No washer or dryer is used in the pigmentation process. I use the least amount of water possible, I use eco-friendly soaps, and excellent water. The water used has a neutral PH. It is from the Sacramento River Headwaters. The water has been filtered for 30 years before it reaches the sunlight.

I am proud to attempt to bring this movement full circle with my passion for Natural Dyes. The dyes are made from various plant matter, bug matter, or clay. 95% of the textiles and dyes are locally sourced. All items should be hand washed in cold water/hang dry. The items that feature factory made fabrics are up cycled textiles.

I love to do collaborations and many designs feature several artists. Olive Love of Kosmic Krownz is the visionary ink master. These inks are eco-friendly. You are getting a OOAK creation with each piece. WE USE WATER REPELLANT SPRAY ON THE LEATHER GARMENTS. However, should be treated with lots of care. 95% of the animal products used in the shop are sourced from Native American Trading Posts. The other leather is up cycled from thrift shops.

The items in the shop that are screen printed on feature 2 artists. Emily Kell -visionary artist- created the Moon Goddess image. Prints Charming does the print work. I am very grateful for these colleagues.

Namaste! This is an Etsy site for Jaquita Straw! All products are locally sourced items. I strive hard to use the elements of nature in my designs. I use many animal products. I respect and honor the spirit of every animal, and all parts of these animals are used. The Urban Tree is an expression of the light shining within each of us. These products are earth friendly and are created with loving intention and meditation. Thank you for your support!
