Hi and Welcome to the Vintage Arcade, please feel free to kick off your shoes sit back and enjoy a walk back to yesterday.
I offer antiques, vintage, retro and shabby- chic unless otherwise stated because sometimes I find some super-duper reproductions.
Please remember that vintage & antique items are not mint, nor are they perfect but they sure are full of old history and charm. Please use photos to make your decisions and read my policies prior to buying so you can have an excellent experience with us. Sometimes we use pre-used packing boxes for items that need stronger / extreme regidity, anyway it helps save trees.
I ship all over the globe, all you have to do is wait ( not too long!) for your new delivery. I offer fast response times, regular status updates and as much assistance as humanly possible so you can shop with confidence. Most items are shipped using trackable methods or International Courier option. ...................
I'll hold things for you - combine things for you, I wrap, bag, bubble and peanut them then use Jiffy or padded envelopes or boxes I always seal and tuck your goodies up safe and cosy ready for their long or short journeys.

Due to Covid 19 I have suspended the option of refunds and returns as many countries shipping timing can now run into months making this an impossible option for the time being, however I will happily help with any enquiries also under normal conditions I never accept returns of any item which could be copied, reprinted or duplicated ie; Artwork, original paintings, prints, cards, photographs, magazines, books, images etc. Nor any items which are designed to be worn.
Please look at all my items for sale and read descriptions carefully as due to the nature of vintage items and their time on this planet can't be viewed the same way as a brand new items. I take clear images of all my items and describe them clearly including any faults or flaws so please read these details carefully and use the ZOOM option on all photos. Colours can look different on tablets, pcs & phones so please take note of this. All sizes are approximate but are taken with great care, please check against your own clothes/shoes/jewellery size etc.
If you wish further information before committing to buy then please just drop me a line. My customers are most important to me and I will assist you as much as I can although all sales are considered final, returns are reviewed on a case by case basis. On offering a refund however, the item must be returned before a refund is issued, initial & return shipping charges are non-refundable & where any UK Importing Customs /taxes are due will have to be met by you the customer as per agreed by you and I.
Under normal conditions- Delicate items are non-returnable due to their fragile nature. Items of clothing, hats, shoes/boots, gloves and earrings. necklaces and rings and any kind of cosmetics are also non refundable for obvious hygiene reasons.
I do not accept returns of any item which could be copied ie; cards, magazines, books, images etc.
BELOW - All TERMS LISTED BELOW ARE SUSPENDED FOR THE TIME BEING DUE TO COVID 19 and refunds/ returns are no longer accepted.
Any item in agreement of return must be shipped and returned within
** 14 consecutive days and be in the exact condition it was sent by me and packaged extremely well and tracked also (** please note the time limit is - within 14 consecutive days.) All agreed return items must also include the original packaging.
Buyers are responsible for return postage costs and any agreed refund will be made when I have received the item back in its original condition, if I do not receive the item I will let you know and you can make enquiries with your shipping agent to trace it, this is not something I can do on your behalf but I will not refund any monies until the item is received and inspected. Any refund will not include original & return postage costs as I am not able to recoup this on your behalf.

If your address has security entrance please ensure the courier/delivery person can gain access.
**I do not offer refunds on any item which has been returned to me by any postal/courier services who have made attempts in order to deliver your item/s. The onus is on you to see that you are at the Etsy delivery address listed or have someone to do this on your behalf. All postal/courier companies will hold your items for quite some time in order for you to collect in person or rearrange further delivery. Only after this time frame is the item returned to me. I will of course offer to resend it to you at your own costs and will only send the item still in its original packaging and unchecked. I will not offer any refund at all under these circumstances.**

Sorry most Courier companies do NOT compensate on these items, this is something I can do nothing about and will likely cover all international delivery courier companies, however, UK Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed® will insure items higher than £250.00 allowing compensation claims on occassions as long as they do comply with their delivery rules.
Vintage items by nature are often one offs so sadly I probably won't be able to replace it. Vintage and antique items do not automatically fall under any amended EU refund policies.

Sadly, there are many countries and parts of countries who have a poor delivery & standards reputation also some countries where items rarely reach their destination is an issue which is outwith my control.
*** Buyers are responsible for return postage and UK CUSTOMS CHARGE costs incurred if applicable.***
I am not responsible for payment of imported Customs charges back to the UK on items returned so please check into this and calculate this costing prior to sending any item back as I can't be responsible for this added expense, if I do not have your agreement regarding any return Customs costs and you still send it back I will have to deduct these fees from our agreed refund prior to sending it to you. In this situation these terms regarding this extra cost supersede any refund agreement, in this country an item is never handed over for delivery without custom charges being paid first.
I can only guarantee safe dispatch prior to leaving these shores.
I do my best to describe all items accurately which includes any imperfections and although I am a mad collector I am certainly no expert in all things vintage, when I'm not sure of an items age or material I will say so.
Photographing old photos for sale can be tricky and often has a less than sharp result but on those occasions I will point this out.

I offer Layaway Plan Agreement for customers who wish to ease payments for their goods. Please read all terms and conditions clearly stated below.

A ‘LAYAWAY PLAN’ is available on items of £200.00 + To initiate purchase, a deposit of one half (50%) of the item/s value is required on the day of LAYAWAY agreement with the balance including shipping costs being finalized within or on the agreed end payment date.
In order to take advantage of the Layaway option you must have a PayPal account as Etsy does not offer a layaway facility through Direct Checkout at this time. To request a Layaway Plan agreement please just click the ‘Ask a question’ button in the items listing page, after our time frame agreement the ‘Layaway Plan’ can be created. If you would like a Layaway for under the starting $200.00+ please just ask and we can work something out.
**Remember first payment / deposit is due on the same day as the agreement and no refunds are offered if the agreement is not completed on or before the agreed end date.**

To initiate layaway, just check out using the option 'OTHER,' and I will then invoice you via PayPal for each instalment, the first being due immediately on receiving the PayPal invoice. I will RESERVE your chosen item until final and full payment (including shipping) has been completed. Final payment must NOT exceed the agreed period of final payment time.
Please Note – *** This is a binding agreement and if, for any reason, the payment schedule cannot be completed there will be no refunds. ***

** ** If the item is returned to me by the shipping company for any reason there will be a 20% administrative cost to you + second shipping costs prior to re-shipping. ****

Payment in full must be received and cleared prior to shipping. We do not accept personal checks or money orders.

Choosing the 'OTHER' payment option is only offered for agreed LAYAWAYS and not to any other persons. Sorry I do not accept payments by Check/cheque at this time.

I also offer a Reserve Listings option to all my customers with the utmost pleasure so if you want something held back till next pay-day / the end of the month ( not exceeding 20 days) or just for a few days don't be shy, lets do it. You do not need a PayPal account to pay for a Reserve Listing just take it to Direct Checkout.
It is you ( the customer) who must make sure your shipping address, details, post/zip codes are correctly listed as I can do nothing to help if I have already posted items to any shipping address which later proves to have typing mistakes misspelled wording or inaccurate details.
The postage and packaging charge includes one attempt by the courier/delivery service to deliver an order to the buyers address, If they are unable to make delivery, most packages/parcels will be held at your local depot for a further 5 + days (approximately) for collection by the buyer (you )or make alternative date for second attempt of delivery (if applicable)
If the item remains uncollected after this time, the courier/postal service may return the item to me and further postage charges will then be applied and must be paid for in advance of second delivery attempt. Please check with your own depot for advice on this. However I am not responsible for any further return costs, nor offer any refund. I will re-post the item in the same condition returned to me but if it needs a second outer box this will be added free of charge

Please remember packaging is included in my shipping costs, that includes items like bubble wrap, puffy peanuts, carding, envelopes, boxes, labels, baggies and tissue. . . In short! All packing supplies.
I also offer two options of gift packaging services for that special occasion, please just ask.
Due to new Royal Mail UK rules as from (Monday 21st Jan. 2013) restrictions.
NO PERFUME - will be transported via their shipping methods however empty PERFUME BOTTLES are not included in this and will ship without hindrance.
This rule by Royal mail is for PERFUME, Eau de toilette, aftershave, cologne, however cream perfume related items are not listed in their banned items.International Courier Services are now in line with UK Royal Mail regarding these same restrictions. These restrictions are pretty much the same world wide now.

These terms & conditions DO NOT apply to sales of such items within the UK and there is no restrictions on the shipping of empty perfume bottles worldwide.

Each country has their own Import & Custums rules and regulations so check on your own countries allowances and regulations if you're unsure - I do not do this.

SHIPPING - I post my items within 1 - 3 working days of paid order unless there are unforseen delays / holidays etc:

I ship across Highland and Islands, lowlands and mainlands, rivers, oceans & Continents to near & far flung places. My goodies fly over seas, mountains, deserts, rain forests and even volcanos to get to you. I have customers from tiny islands to vast countries across this wide, varied and wonderful Globe - Please come and join them you will be very welcome and well cared for.
All shipping costs listed do not necessarily include, Highlands and Islands nor do they include areas which may fall under another countries zip / post code but are in far flung or hard to reach places i.e. (ALASKA and HAWAII.) Please contact me with your full zip/post code for an accurate shipping cost if you think your area falls into this . Please note: Additional shipping costs under these conditions will supersede any postage costs listed with the item and the cost difference will have to be paid prior to shipping.

Shipping costs listed with each item is for standard Airmail shipping only
(UK via land route) unless otherwise stated with each listing. Extra insurance is an added option and if you wish to take this please let me know and I will alter the shipping costs to include this. I can't alter this in retrospect. Glass items are shipped at your own risk as NO ! Mail company or Courier company offers insurance on glass items National or International.

Can you please ensure your postal address is worded exactly the way your postal service insists upon i.e. The zip / post code in the exact order otherwise your item may be rejected and returned to the sender ( me) This has not happened to me but it has to others sometimes just because something like the postal/zip code was on another line ( or wasn't on another line) when this happens the item is rejected by your country. If this does happen it will inevitably mean a second postal cost will be incurred for you as I can't be held responsible for this. If your country has such rigid rules on this matter it's best to alert me to this before shipping your item and we can both check all is as it should be- Just a wee heads up.

Standard Overseas Postage - from the UK is via Airmail and is not tracked, however I always get proof of postage and will be happy to forward you a copy if you need it.

Iternational Signed For, Tracked & Signed For and Courier shipping options -
'Signed For' / Tracked & Signed For options are often listed on some items for sale directly on the item page, if you wish to alter the shipping options listed in any of the item pages then please contact me and I will set up a 'Reserve Listing' for you with the altered shipping fee. PLEASE Contact me to make this alteration before adding to your shopping cart.
International Signed For options are recommended as they offer a trackable method/signed for option.
No Royal Mail, National or International Courier Companies insure or offer a refund on any items damaged in transit if they are made of or have parts of Glass - Mirror - China Porcelain.
Please note, some countries do not offer any form of tracking procedure at all (many non EU countries do not) which I can do nothing about. I can also do nothing about countries which have a poor delivery reputation (things often go missing!) or poor handling standards. Items being shipped to countries which offer no tracking options at all are posted to you the customer, at your own risk but please understand I will, as always get proof of postage from my end and a copy of this ( if you should ever need it) will be forwarded to you.
Although Signed For shipping costs are higher than Standard Airmail I can often combined postage to the same address when it's a workable option, this can help ofset this cost and offer good value for money.
In addition to our standard & trackable shipping options we often arrange Priority service for speedy delivery using a number of national and international Courier companies. Please contact us for costs of this facility for your chosen item. This service is very often a great alternative to mainstream shipping and not as expensive as you might think . PLEASE NOTE - Standard Airmail & Courier items are quoted without added insurance, where this is advised (higher valued items) the extra cost will have to be paid by you, this is approx. $11.00
Postage info-
I always get proof of postage and include a return address on all packages so if anything should go wrong and the package makes it’s way back to me we can try again. I am not responsible for any undelivered, lost or missing items. it is always advised to take the TRACKABLE alternative option offered on all my items.
Shipping from the UK to the USA is on average 7-14 working days which of course excludes any high demand periods, customs delays, strikes etc; but in the UK, we do try harder than many other countries to meet this time period. All Customs terms, conditions (including importation of goods & restrictions) costs/charges etc; are the responsibility of the purchaser, this also includes all taxes due. Always check with your own countries trems and condition prior to buying..
PLEASE NOTE: Once your order is shipped, I am NOT responsible for delayed, lost damaged packages, custom hold-ups or rejections.

Is my purchase inclusive of VAT?

No. I do NOT charge VAT.
The answer to this question is ‘No’. I do not meet the qualifying threshold to charge Valued Added Tax (VAT) so therefore I am not registered to collect V.A.T. on any of my items. You will be responsible for any associated VAT or sales tax charges levied by and associated within your own countries government and postal service.
Every country have their own policies on customs & import charges - These should not to be mistaken for or have anything to do with sales taxex.
