About

My name is Stephanie and I'm 27 years old. I'm currently recovering from a long term illness and this little venture is contributing to that recovery. I've developed a huge passion for these crafts and find them so rewarding. It's allowing me to have a little bit of independence and the fact that it's something I love doing so much is a huge bonus.

I am an avid reader and I have a particular love of old books. I am also enthusiastic about recycling and so wanted to find a way of using the books that no one wanted. These are the books that are severely damaged and, in some cases, literally falling apart. I came up with several ideas and now have a range of cards that utilize old book pages.

My love of fabrics is a more recent development and is largely down to a chance meeting I had with a lovely lady at a craft fair. She very generously offered to teach me how to cover books. I was in love with the craft right from the start but I never expected to get so hopelessly addicted to it! I can never put into words what an incredible gift she has given me. It has been such a positive factor in my recovery. We have developed a friendship and I owe her much. I have adapted the notebooks to make them a little more my own, and have started covering diaries too. It was from here that my passion for card making grew, because I started to experiment with ways to use up the fabric remnants.

All of my fabrics are bought second hand, some being older than others. From the tiniest of remnants, to the largest of curtains, I try to waste as little as possible - which is really stretching my creative capabilities!!

I continue my experiments to test out new ideas. Currently I'm working on covering notebooks in old book pages. It's a work in progress!

I hope you've enjoyed browsing my shop and hope to see you again soon.
