What Happened to My Dining Room?
This was nothing I ever dreamed would happen, a shop here on Etsy. But, here I am.
I inherited many vintage items from both of my Grandmothers over the years, which I kept in an old trunk for many years, not knowing exactly what to do with them. Then, in 2010, my Mom passed away and there it was! Tons of STUFF, most of it old, and all of it destined to become part of a vast collection right in the middle of my dining room!
Most of my pieces are actually from my own past. Things my grandmothers made or gave to me, things from my childhood that I lost track of... Or that my Mother 'saved' all these years.
She was a collector, my Mom; a collector who knew not when to stop. When she passed away in 2010, we discovered the startling truth: she was a hoarder. Just like the ones on the TV show! Oy! But, she had many, many lovely things in that hoard. I fancied the jewelry most of all. She lived in Ohio and I live in Florida, so I hauled boxes and boxes of her stuff down here with me, and saved them from the jaws of the incompetent auctioneer. And now I share with you.
At 60-something years of age, I have found a real passion in life, and I couldn't be happier. Turning my dining room into a collectors paradise is the best thing that has happened to the seldom used room. If Hubs would just let me get rid of the dining table, buffet, and china cabinet, I'd have a lot more room for the things I really love; vintage, vintage, and more vintage.
I intend to sell many pieces just as they are, in all their vintage glory. Other items will be assemblages, upcycled, recycled, repurposed, by me, but they will all have vintage elements.

I pack your purchase with care and I recycle clean, sturdy boxes, etc. whenever possible. You might get your item in an Amazon, QVC or HSN box. I usually ship USPS first class. If you need an item in a hurry, let me know BEFORE you checkout so I can adjust the shipping and the cost of Priority or Express for you.
We have a smoke free, Labrador retriever lovin' home. I don't charge extra for doggie hairs that may be included in your package. Seriously, they're everywhere.
I do not take away the lovely patina from my vintage pieces, but I do make sure you don't get an excessively gross item. Sometimes, these things need a little scrub before I send it out to you.
