Very well made. Lovely material clean and well packaged. Seller was great helping to figure out just what I needed. Will buy from again if I need a similar product for another room.

These are great!! Very well made and machine washable. We haven't had a chance to use them yet (our little guy hasn't made his appearance yet) but I have heard great things about wool's absorbency and look forward to using them. Thanks so much!

About

a treasure for today from something lost & forgotten

I love the expression of experience.

I find that the story of my life reflects the choices I make & the things I create. I have become my experiences. My shop is an articulation of these such experiences & reflect my appreciation of wool as the superhero of natural fibers as well as it's roll in cloth diapering and nursing.

Nested amongst birch & maple trees, my studio rests between the bones of an old farmhouse which, thanks to spared moments, is slowly regaining life and becoming a home again.

q: What one word describes your workspace?
a: Sanctuary

I gravitate towards the hues of the ink & tea stains on my apron, the tints of the frost-adorned windows in my chicken coop & the textures of Shirley Poppies & Sweet Peas in the summer sunsets. There is deep & yet subtle beauty in the simplicity of things: raw cottons, woolens & other "from the earth" materials that, when sewn together, create an honest play-thing or clothing piece.

My cloth diapering and nursing aids are made by hand, carefully one-by-one with 100% Organic cotton and wool . I gather my materials the same way as bird-folk; unique materials, upcycped and recycled from gently loved woolen items, are recreated into a treasure for today from something lost & forgotten.

A note on quality: I demand quality in what I consume. I try (with all of my might) to live with very little and so I ensure that what I do keep close is made with care & quality. I promise that whatever I create will embody this same quality.

Regarding feedback: I love the story of someone's experience, I adore customer feedback, hearing about how my work has been integrated into their lives and why. I believe that the story of a treasure from creation to destination is as important as the item itself, so naturally I strive for a happy ever after every time.

Experiences. I love experiences. Interesting, intense, subtle, soft. We are our experiences; the feeling of sun on my skin in the hot summer & the smell of apple blossoms, chicken chases, & harvesting our garden. Climbing into & out of wells in the winter, & the warmth of the fire in the loudest of snowstorms. Our farm is hard work, but we love it. My sewing will one day allow me to stay home so that I can truly commit to my dream of a sustainable working farm, & a sanctuary that provides experiences & treasures for generations to come.

To these such experience The wOOly Owl awaits ....

Homesteading in the village of Vankoughnet, with an armful of chickens and a garden that stretches into the maple trees Nestled in an old house with the love of my life and a basket of wool. My simple life. A life of love.
