Selling home decor to add more "home" to the house.
My happy place is wherever I can be creative and make things with my hands. You'll find items, such as globes, luggage and maps, listed in my shop that have been altered in some way. In college I received a degree in geography and geographic information systems, or GIS (thematic map making.) I'm sure you can imagine that having chosen to study geography in college that I have a love for maps, and I do. I especially love vintage globes and maps.
Being a stay at home mom, in my experience, has taken me down a road where I often forget to center myself. Creating for The Walt House gives me a peace and happiness that I believe makes me a better wife, mom and friend.
I would like you to know that when you purchase from this shop, a portion of the proceeds of every purchase is donated to a community domestic violence shelter. Part of the reason I started this shop was to give back to my community. This shop helps support families that are going through big struggles. Please know that your purchase goes to helping families that truly need the help.

Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
If colors, quotes, or special considerations are not indicated in the "message to seller" box, then the default (pictured item/design) will be sent.
***NOTE*** all of these items are handmade and painted by me. There will be slight variations in each piece, i.e. size of wood up to 1", placement of letters, etc. By purchasing, you agree to these and other terms.
If you are absolutely not happy with your order, I will work with you to make it right. Please send me a message and lets work it out.
All custom orders are carefully considered and planned, once payment is made there can be no returns.
If you happen to be in the EU my custom orders (custom-made) are exempt from the right of withdrawal.
Payment
If you live in Calfornia your order will have a 9% tax.
Shipping
International orders, shipping will take an extended period of time - which is obviously not in my control. All the fees for shipping internationally are not part of the purchase price. Duties, taxes, and charges are not included in shipping price and are the buyer's responsibility. Please check your customs office and determine what your cost will be prior to purchase. I am sorry but due to the high cost of shipping there will be NO REFUNDS of any nature for international orders. Shipping issues are not in my control, I apologize but ordering internationally is at your own risk.
