Culpo a mi encantadora prima por presentarme la emoción absoluta de tomar algunos palos y trabajar con ellos para crear un objeto útil y hermoso. Mi casa está llena de cosas hechas de sauce. Y este año me convertí en un agricultor de sauces y he plantado un lecho de sauce en nuestra parcela comunitaria para poder suministrar mis propios sauces el próximo otoño.
Comencé vendiendo comederos para pájaros en mi vecindario. La respuesta a ellos fue fenomenal. Luego comencé a enseñar a otros cómo hacerlos. Me encanta cada aspecto de trabajar con sauce.
Ahora somos muy conscientes de la necesidad de vivir suavemente en el planeta y estos productos de sauce son una forma práctica y hermosa de hacer que su hogar y jardín sean atractivos sin que le cueste a la tierra.

I blame my lovely cousin for introducing me to the absolute thrill of taking some sticks and working with them to create a useful and beautiful object. My house is full of things made from willow. And this year I became a willow farmer and have planted a bed of willow in our community allotment so that I can supply my own willow withies next Autumn.
I began by selling bird feeders in my neighbourhood. The response to them was phenomenal. Then I began teaching others how to make them. I absolutely love every aspect of working with willow.
We are now so aware of the need to live gently on the planet and these willow products are a practical and beautiful way to make your home and garden attractive without it costing the earth.
