Ich beschuldige meinen lieben Cousin, dass er mich in den absoluten Nervenkitzel eingeführt hat, ein paar Stöcke zu nehmen und mit ihnen zu arbeiten, um ein nützliches und schönes Objekt zu schaffen. Mein Haus ist voll von Dingen aus Weide. Und dieses Jahr bin ich Weidenzüchter geworden und habe in unserem Gemeindeschrebergarten ein Weidenbeet gepflanzt, damit ich im nächsten Herbst meine eigenen Weidenwithies versorgen kann.
Ich begann mit dem Verkauf von Vogelfutterhäuschen in meiner Nachbarschaft. Die Resonanz auf sie war phänomenal. Dann fing ich an, anderen beizubringen, wie man sie macht. Ich liebe jeden Aspekt der Arbeit mit Weide.
Wir sind uns jetzt der Notwendigkeit bewusst, sanft auf dem Planeten zu leben, und diese Weidenprodukte sind eine praktische und schöne Möglichkeit, Ihr Haus und Ihren Garten attraktiv zu machen, ohne dass es die Erde kostet.

I blame my lovely cousin for introducing me to the absolute thrill of taking some sticks and working with them to create a useful and beautiful object. My house is full of things made from willow. And this year I became a willow farmer and have planted a bed of willow in our community allotment so that I can supply my own willow withies next Autumn.
I began by selling bird feeders in my neighbourhood. The response to them was phenomenal. Then I began teaching others how to make them. I absolutely love every aspect of working with willow.
We are now so aware of the need to live gently on the planet and these willow products are a practical and beautiful way to make your home and garden attractive without it costing the earth.
