the chairs should be kept out of the elements and direct sunlight. clean the chair with a dry cloth(can use a slightly damp cloth if needed). briwax can be used to keep a protective layer on the chair

when you first get your chair we recommend giving it 24 hours to get used to it's new environment(natural untreated wood may move when it changes temperature and humidity rapidly)

We finish all our chairs in old fashioned milk which is non toxic and a period correct finish for the colonial era. i do not use other paints nor do i stock them.

i can sell a raw chair and you can finish how you would like but i can not guarantee the results and there is no warranty(no refunds on raw chairs).

i seal the paint with boiled linseed oil which protects against light water damage(for example someone having coffee who set their cup on the paddle of a chair. it should prevent any ghost rings)
lastly it is coated with briwax for a shine and to ease the cleaning of the chair
