I absolutely love it! It goes with my Map of Middle Earth pillow. The canvas material is comfy and soft. Beautifully hand painted. Good quality, worth the wait! Thank you!

Inspired by the wonderful world of fantasy

"Fantasy is silver and scarlet, indigo and azure, obsidian veined with gold and lapis lazuli. Reality is plywood and plastic, done up in mud brown and olive drab. Fantasy tastes of habaneros and honey, cinnamon and cloves, rare red meat and wines as sweet as summer. Reality is beans and tofu, and ashes at the end.”
― George R.R. Martin

I have always been a Renaissance Faire, Fantasy and Lord of the Rings/ Tolkien geek lol.
I have considered making Fantasy items for a long time now, especially after every Ren Faire I visit, but wasn't sure where to start or go with it.
Spring 2014...I'm now crafting several items for my new venture, and applying to Ontario Ren Fests as a vendor. I have so many ideas flowing and can't wait to bring these crafts to life. Although the business is mostly me, my best friend and roomie Steve, who is also an artist, helps me through the creation process with opinions and ideas. I hope to bring some of Steve's art to Middle Earth Creations as well.
I'm currently creating jewelry, pillows, mini hobbit holes and scarves, but more items will be arriving soon.
I can't wait to show you my creations!

My shop started out in Spring 2009 as Cherry Riot Accessories. I was crafting alternative fashion accessories for myself for modeling and acting purposes, and I decided I wanted to try and sell some (as I had always wanted my own shop). I heard about Etsy and decided to start there. My first items were terrible...luckily they never made it to the site lol.
After I was happy with some simple creations I put them on etsy, and also started doing craft shows and conventions. It was a side-business and more of a hobby than anything.

In Fall 2010 I opened a Brick & Mortar store called 'Betties & Bombshells' in Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada. It was a women's store where I sold Vintage-Inspired and Pinup clothing, accessories and gifts.I made the majority of the jewelry and accessories in my shop and did well at it. I closed my etsy shop as I did not have time to sell online as well.
Unfortunately I became quite ill soon after opening, and in Fall 2011 I made the tough decision to close it as I couldn't keep up with it due to illness.
Throughout 2011 and 2012 I crafted different items, mostly Victorian and Macabre inspired, under a couple different business names, and sold them at craft shows and conventions...but I was not happy with where that was going.

And so it begins....

If there is a problem with your item within the first 30 days, please contact me and we can discuss it, and in many cases I can replace it. The buyer pays all shipping fees.

If there are any issues I will be happy to discuss them with me, please just convo me.
Payment must be received in full before the item will be shipped out.
I accept Paypal and money orders as payment, although paypal is always preferred.

CANADA ONLY - I accept Interac E-Transfers through online banking: please pick 'money order' as your pay preference at checkout, and then convo me to arrange the e-transfer.
Some items are made-to-order, some are ready-to-ship, please see individual item descriptions for the eta of when your item will be posted.

I ship via Canada Post, I always try to use lettermail shipping (which is the cheapest) whenever possible. Some items cannot go letter mail because they are too large, or I feel that they may get damaged if not sent as a parcel.

Most shipping takes approximately 4-10 business days, depending of course on where you are located and if it gets stopped by your country's customs. If you require faster shipping, message me and I can give you a quote.

Handling charges for packaging are already included in the cost of shipping listed on the items page.

I am not responsible for Duties, brokerage fees or any other customs charges that your country charges.

The item you receive may look slightly different from what you see in the picture. I make several of the same item, and since they are all handmade by me, the look may vary slightly from one item to another of the same design. However, that being said, I do strive for continuity in my designs, and I do make sure that the picture in the listing accurately represents what you are receiving.

If you are purchasing one of my items for your child, please make sure they are supervised while using/wearing it, as there are small items that may be a choking hazard.
