Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

Doll clothing should be stored in a clean dry place away from direct sunlight.
Hand wash only: Wash very gently with mild liquid soap and water. Rinse well. Lay the item on a clean dry towel and gently roll it up to absorb the excess water.
For fabric items: For a vintage look, gently wring the item to create pleating and lay flat to dry shaping the pleats and folds as you like. You may also dress a doll-sized mannequin and mold the clothing item to the desired shape.
For yarn items: Hand wash very gently with only a very few drops of mild liquid soap in clean water. Rinse well and lay the item on a clean dry towel and gently roll it up to absorb the excess water.
Shape the item to it's original shape and lay flat to dry.

Custom and personalized orders

I am open to collaboration with custom doll artists to make themed outfits. Please message me.

At this time The Yarn Squad is no longer offering custom amigurumi portrait dolls.

Gift wrapping and packaging

My packaging and free surprises make perfect happy mail for your gift recipient.
Please let me know if your purchase is being shipped as a gift and I will be happy to address a blank card to the recipient and withhold the receipt information.

Does The Yarn Squad still make custom amigurumi portrait dolls?

Unfortunately, no. I love expressing my creativity and making people happy with custom portrait dolls. However, it was becoming a stressful hobby that actually cost me time and money.
