Art that shaped our natural history

The Zoologist Archives offers beautiful reproductions of zoological and botanical illustrations from the 1800s. These illustrations were originally created to help scientists classify and study exotic animals and plants. These are the images that shaped natural history.

>>How it's made<<
1. I collect and curate digitized 1800s illustrations, prints, and real book pages
2. I carefully retouch, enhance and prepare digitized illustrations for printing (it can take up to 4 hours) and I work with a local printing company to create the final prints
4. I decide on the style and work with a local framing professional, who assembles the frames by hand

>>Meaningful purchase<<
Every time you order 2 or more items*, a small donation** goes to a local foundation that works on wildlife preservation: the Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Society.
+ YOU GET a cute enamel charity pin as a thank you

*Digital downloads are not eligible.
**Exactly 500 HUF (approx. 1.50 €) goes to the foundation

>>About me<<

>> Causes that are important to me <<
