Third Floor Designs is a little studio currently residing on the third floor of my home. Creative, aren't I? In my little garret, I create wonderful women's accessories - everything from wraps and scarves to jewelry and handbags. You will even find belts, cuffs and clothing items.

I am inspired by the materials themselves - lovely kimono silks, vintage jewelry pieces, fiery sari silks, and other fabrics from all sources and decades - as well as nature, art, music and, well, just about anything!

I do all of the designing, pattern making and creating myself.

Returns and exchanges
All of my items are made with the utmost care and concern for my buyers. I stand behind all of my products. I do understand that there will be times when one might ask to return an item.

Returns are done on a case-by-case basis. I ask that you contact me within 3 days of receiving your item and ship the item back to me within 7 days. I will process your return once the item is received. The item must be returned in the same condition as it was sent to you - unworn, unwashed, undamaged. If you would like an exchange, I will ship the new item once I have received the original one.

Because they are created to your specifications, custom orders are not returnable.

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Returns are not accepted for items damaged in transit. Please refer to my shipping policies for more information about insurance.

I strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Please contact me and I am sure we can work out any issues.
I accept payments through Paypal, checks and money orders, though I prefer PayPal. Please pay for your purchase within 3 days or I must cancel your order. Items are shipped once payment is received or a check has cleared the bank. For custom orders, I will start on your order once the payment has cleared.

By state law, I must collect 7% sales tax on the total price, including shipping, for items shipping to New Jersey.
All items are shipped either USPS Priority Mail or USPS First Class mail within 2 days of receiving payment. Delivery confirmation is included. All orders over $100 (not including shipping) are insured free of charge. Orders under $100 can be insured for a small additional charge. Just convo me and I will arrange it.

I can not be responsible for damage incurred by the post office or foreign postal services.

If you ever need an item shipped more quickly, please be sure to convo me ahead of time.

I will ship internationally. Please convo me prior to purchase for international shipping rates to your country.
Additional policies and FAQs
CUSTOM WORK: I love custom orders and will work very hard to make your design come alive for you! Please convo me with any questions or ideas that you may have. Custom orders may carry a small fee (up to 10%) as I spend quite a bit of time working with you on fabric and design choices.

GIFTS: If you are one of those lovely people who will give your purchased item as a gift, please know that all of my items come nicely wrapped (boxed for jewelry) and can be ready for gift giving as they are. If you would like gift wrap or boxing for larger items, I am more than happy to accomodate you. There may be a small charge for any materials.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Instructions for the care of your lovely items are usually detailed in each listing. If you would like these printed and included with your item, please feel free to convo me. Likewise, please convo me if you have any concerns about the care for a particular item.

GIVING BACK: I donate 10% of the sale price for many of my items to KIVA - saving the world, one loan at a time. For more information, visit
