Jewelry for everyday beauty started with everyday materials in 2009. A family member showed me a bracelet created with beads and string found around our house. This made me think, “Why don’t we create real jewelry—jewelry that’s both beautiful and reasonably priced?”

After a trip to a craft store and a few design ideas torn from magazines, my family launched our jewelry adventure. Before we sold each piece, I approved the design and made suggestions for improvement.

During the same year, I took our favorite pieces and set up a booth at a local farmers market. As time went on, I made more and more of the jewelry myself. That summer’s sales did extremely well, and women began asking for custom orders.

I continued to research new techniques and experiment with different materials. This variety included glass beads, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and pearls, paper beads, leather, sterling silver, wood, and wire for necklaces, bracelets, ankle bracelets, and earrings.

Two years later in 2011, I added jewelry repair to my services. I also started teaching jewelry-making classes at a local community center.

Expensive jewelry for special occasions is worn once or twice and then collects dust. So I decided to specialize in jewelry that makes women feel complete and put-together with their everyday outfits.

Repeat customers kept coming back, and word spread about "this BeautifuL day". Several boutiques and gift shops have displayed my jewelry. In 2017, I expanded to the online arena with my Etsy shop.
