About

And then I had kids...

Thrasher & Wren (the shop) was born a few months after the actual Thrasher and Wren were born. I had been quite happily working as an advertising illustrator, then the Universe shazammed me with twins.
Short deadlines, no sleep and last minute meetings did not seem to meld with two newborns (who were already making sure no sleep was being had). So I kept it up as long as I could, then I decided to try something different. My own thing. Art that was lovely to look at, fun and affordable (most important these days) was the idea...we converted an old coal shed into a studio and Thrasher&Wren was hatched.
It is now almost seven years later. What started as one lonely octopus poster has blossomed into a full series alphabet and more!

Hello! I am an illustrator, designer and crafty Mama of twins. I am happiest when drawing, painting or gluing things to other things. Throw in some glitter, a new pen and a hoody right out of the dryer and you have the perfect day.

Returns and exchanges
If you get one of my prints, and do not love it - return it to me. I will refund your money once it has arrived back at my end.

To keep shipping costs low I ship without insurance. If an item arrives damaged, I am very sorry, but do not refund money. If you would like to pay the extra shipping that includes insurance, please let me know at the time of purchase and I will certainly arrange it.

I pack all prints in heavy cardboard tubes. They are very sturdy and keep the prints snug and safe. If you would like a print mailed flat, again, let me know at the time of purchase and I will arrange it. Please note, flat mailing is much more expensive to ship.
Payment
I accept both Paypal and Money Orders as methods of payment.
Items will be shipped once I have received payment.

Paypal payments are due at the time of purchase. If I have not received payment within 48 hours of your purchase and have not heard from you, I will release your item back into inventory. This also applies to items requested to be reserved. I will hold for 48 hours (unless I hear otherwise from you).

If you are paying by Money Order I will notify you the day I receive the payment and ship your order out the next business day.
Shipping
I ship all work with Canada Post. It is efficient and keeps the shipping costs low. Prints are generally printed and ready to ship within a few days of receiving an order (a little longer during the Holiday season). Regular Parcel within Canada can be expected to arrive within 2-9 days from the date shipped. Regular Parcel to the United States can be expected to arrive within 6-12 business days from the date shipped. International orders take 4-6 weeks. Expedited shipping is available for an additional charge. Please contact me before your purchase for rates and shipping times.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am more than happy to do custom designs and artwork. Just shoot me an email with your idea/questions and I will get right back to you!
