thread & paper is a small studio dedicated to slow design and the beauty of handmade based in Brooklyn, NY.
simplicity, functionality and the beauty of natural materials are the driving forces behind every piece I make. I believe good design is both approachable and attainable for everyone.
I grew up in Vermont and Maine and I have always been inspired by New England, both in pattern and color as well as design philosophy. There is a ingrained handmade, local and sustainable tradition in New England that I am very grateful to have as part of my personal history. Even though I am in New York City now I hope to contribute to this tradition in my own way.
