5 out of 5 starsThe most gorgeous yarn. It’s multidimensional, nice and thick (as in not too loose and floppy) and really wonderful. One of my favorite art yarns out there. Thank you!

Details.
Hi, i’m Brandi! I am an illustrator & designer from the Midwest. I have been working as a freelance artist since earning my BA in Graphic Design & Fine Art in 2008.
Although my main gig is in graphic design, traditional art has always been my true love. My current fine art medium is contemporary hand embroidery. Individual stitches come together to create beautiful figurative compositions in thread.
My works focus is the human female figure, because I am a woman, I understand women and I enjoy creating work that represents what I know. I have deconstructed the body to symbolize that we are all made up by the sum of our individual parts and experiences; and to represent the mechanical/doll aspect of the way humans seem to gravitate toward a similar path and how they struggle to break free of what society considers “normal.”
Flora, botanicals & sometimes fauna envelop my figures, as we are surrounded by nature and organic design elements appear randomly representing the chaos that surrounds all of us.
I hope you enjoy my work.
xoxo - Brandi

Frequently asked questions
HOW ARE YOUR HOOPS FINISHED?
My hoops are all glue free! Each hoop is finished by leaving additional fabric on the outside of the hoop and then securing that extra using a tightly pulled basting stitch on the back. The basting stitch secures the fabric to the back so that it is tucked fully behind the hoop.
HOW DO I HANG MY HOOP?
WALL HANGING
I hang my hoops using nails with small heads. Simply put the nail head directly through the opening at the top of the hoop where the two hoop pieces meet. Easy peasy!
If you prefer, you can use that opening to secure a piece of ribbon or twine through and then hang your hoop from the ribbon or twine.
ON A SHELF
You are welcome to display your hoop on a shelf as well. If you choose to do this, I would recommend purchasing an a-frame mini easel or an easel style display stand.
DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM OR PERSONALIZED ORDERS?
Sorry, but I don't right now. I will keep this in mind for the future.
DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS?
I want you to be happy with your purchase. I put a great deal of time & effort into my listing descriptions & images to accurately represent each product.
With that said, due to the specialized nature of this work, returns and/or exchanges are generally not accepted. Please be sure to read through my product descriptions and shop policies carefully before completing your purchase.
If you have any pre-purchase questions, please feel free contact me prior to purchase, as I am happy to help clarify.
Thank you!
