Announcement   Welcome to my shop!

As a textile atist, I love handpainted threads, fabrics and fibres of different textures. I particularly love to work with silk. The dyeing process is always an exciting one, you never quite know how things are going to turn out, even when repeating a particular colourway. I also enjoy sourcing materials, particularly unusual ones from around the world. I am currently working with hemp and silk from Thailand and silk from India.

On offer here is a collection of my favourites, all dyed at home and dried in my garden, when the weather permits. As I only dye in small batches, each piece is fairly unique and for this reason I urge you to buy enough for whatever project you have in mind.

I mostly use professional procion and acid dyes. All fibres are carefully rinsed after dyeing. They should be completely fast but I cannot guarantee this, although personally I have never had any problems with anything I have dyed.

The fairy on my banner and avatar was designed by my friend Cath von Isenburg. More of her lovely work can be found on catherinavonisenburg.etsy.com

If you have a bit more time, my own work is at thredworx.etsy.com
