Hole is drilled off centre. Was told that he would be using higher quality material in the future.... I'd have preferred the better material for myself. Striker sparks fairly well, relatively thin. Just seemed poorer quality than other strikers I've purchased

Did you contact the maker beforehand to resolve any issues you had? No. Did you ask for a refund? No. Why would you want to keep a striker you find so flawed? Why not get your money back? Could it be that you have some ulterior motive in mind? Relatively thin? As far as I've found, it's the thinnest striker on the market. Only 1/8th of an inch thick, you have just enough striking surface to get a good spark without becoming so bulky it's uncomfortable to wear or carry on your keychain. Poorer quality compared to what? Show us the models you're comparing because I'm pretty sure nobody else is making the same style. How can it be "poorer quality" yet you're not at all interested in a refund? As a fellow businessman, I am disappointed by your lack of professionalism.

I needed some hooks for a mudroom I'm building, and these fit the bill just about perfectly. My only concern is that they did not come with mounting screws, which, I admit, weren't mentioned as part of the product, but finding rustic black screws wasn't particularly simple. The hooks are well-made, and look terrific in my mud room. I'm glad I bought them.

About

In the Beginning.....

My interest in the old crafts started when I was a child reading the adventures of Robinson Crusoe and The Swiss Family Robinson. They were able to build everything a young lad could possibly need, and I wanted to know how to do that.

Growing up in a time when there was no internet, I spent the majority of my free time outside. If I wasn't reading a book, I was in the neighboring woods building forts and watching the wildlife.

From then til now, I've spent my time studying history and how people have lived throughout the ages, marveling at how they incorporated beauty into even their most mundane items.

As a blacksmith, I have had the wonderful opportunity to share my work with people all over the world - from the Far East to the cold climes of Northern Europe, California to Australia. And every single customer has been a blessing. I often tell people that I'm not interested in selling ironwork so much as I am in showing people the value of quality craftsmanship.

I honestly believe that quality craftsmanship improves lives. When you surround yourself with the best you can afford, even in the littlest of things, you take on a portion of that quality in your being. It's that quality, the art in the everyday item, that I look forward to sharing with you.

Hello, and welcome to the Three Rivers Forge. I've been involved in blacksmithing since high school, far too many years ago to think about. The focus of my work is on small items that can be used every day.

Hello, and welcome to the smithy. Everything that I offer is made by me - one piece at a time - using the same tools and techniques that smiths have been using for centuries.

I truly believe that hand-forged ironwork is a treasure to be cherished.

If I can help you in any way, please don't hesitate to drop me a line.

Payment
Paypal is my prefered means of payment, however I do accept credit cards, money orders and personal checks. If paying with a check or money order, the item will not ship until the funds have cleared the bank. This can add several days to the process.

Payment in full is required at the time of purchase.
Shipping
I use the US Post Office to ship whenever possible, as I've found them to have the lowest prices.

I am happy to ship anywhere in the world. Please understand that shipping times outside of the US will vary depending on the destination and the customs office.

All packages are insured and a tracking number will be provided where possible so you can watch your purchase's progress.
Refunds and Exchanges
All products are made to the highest possible standard - by my own hand. I take great pride in producing pieces that are well-built and durable, and all orders are closely inspected before leaving the smithy.

If, however, you find fault with the construction and/or function of a piece, you are more than welcome to return it for a full refund of the purchase price. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser.

You have two days after receipt to notify me of an issue and intent to return.

As for damaged and/or lost packages, know that I will work with you to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.
Additional policies and FAQs
My end goal is to have a satisfied customer. Please take a moment to review the photos one more time just to make sure you're happy with the item's details. If you have any questions or would like something clarified, I will do everything in my power to help ease your concerns.

I guarantee my work with my word, as men have done since the beginning of time.

If you have an idea for something you would like forged, I would be very happy to discuss the project with you. Some of my best ideas have come from other people, so please feel welcome to contact me. :D

If you would like multiple pieces other than the quantities I have posted, please let me know. I am, again, more than willing to work with you on the project. Large quantity orders are always appreciated and I will gladly adjust the price per unit to reflect that appreciation.

Hand-forged ironwork is a treasure that will last through the ages. Whether it's decorative, strictly functional, or a combination of the two, the piece you buy today can be passed down through the generations. It doesn't lose it's value.
