Hole is drilled off centre. Was told that he would be using higher quality material in the future.... I'd have preferred the better material for myself. Striker sparks fairly well, relatively thin. Just seemed poorer quality than other strikers I've purchased

Did you contact the maker beforehand to resolve any issues you had? No. Did you ask for a refund? No. Why would you want to keep a striker you find so flawed? Why not get your money back? Could it be that you have some ulterior motive in mind? Relatively thin? As far as I've found, it's the thinnest striker on the market. Only 1/8th of an inch thick, you have just enough striking surface to get a good spark without becoming so bulky it's uncomfortable to wear or carry on your keychain. Poorer quality compared to what? Show us the models you're comparing because I'm pretty sure nobody else is making the same style. How can it be "poorer quality" yet you're not at all interested in a refund? As a fellow businessman, I am disappointed by your lack of professionalism.

I needed some hooks for a mudroom I'm building, and these fit the bill just about perfectly. My only concern is that they did not come with mounting screws, which, I admit, weren't mentioned as part of the product, but finding rustic black screws wasn't particularly simple. The hooks are well-made, and look terrific in my mud room. I'm glad I bought them.
In the Beginning.....
My interest in the old crafts started when I was a child reading the adventures of Robinson Crusoe and The Swiss Family Robinson. They were able to build everything a young lad could possibly need, and I wanted to know how to do that.
Growing up in a time when there was no internet, I spent the majority of my free time outside. If I wasn't reading a book, I was in the neighboring woods building forts and watching the wildlife.
From then til now, I've spent my time studying history and how people have lived throughout the ages, marveling at how they incorporated beauty into even their most mundane items.
As a blacksmith, I have had the wonderful opportunity to share my work with people all over the world - from the Far East to the cold climes of Northern Europe, California to Australia. And every single customer has been a blessing. I often tell people that I'm not interested in selling ironwork so much as I am in showing people the value of quality craftsmanship.
I honestly believe that quality craftsmanship improves lives. When you surround yourself with the best you can afford, even in the littlest of things, you take on a portion of that quality in your being. It's that quality, the art in the everyday item, that I look forward to sharing with you.
