I love these rings so much I ordered them twice since my fingers turned into sausages. :)
Small Beginnings to Dreams Coming True!
I started jewelry at my dining room table in Vail, CO. Beading is how it all began. I needed to keep my hands busy at night after work. Soon enough, my friends and family started buying my pieces. It didn't take much for me to feel like this is something I really wanted to do! It wasn't easy. I still had to work, so jewelry took over my evenings. After a while, I quit my corporate job and apprenticed a jeweler. Tough job, but a great experience of what NOT to do as a business owner and jeweler.
I had a booth at a farmers market in Minturn, CO every weekend for a couple of summers, 2002 and 2003. It was amazing and a fun way to spend my Saturdays. However, it was time for me to enter the corporate world again. The farmers market and my apprenticeship weren't covering my bills. However, I never stopped making jewelry, it simply filled my evenings like it always had. I also filled my evenings with metalsmithing classes once or twice a week. I couldn't get enough! During that time, I also met my husband. He continued and still continues to support and push me!
Now with our two girls, jewelry still gets done after books and bed. And worth every moment!
Around the web
I love what I do, and do what I love!! Jewelry is awesome! Working with the torch, hammering, setting stones, and making beautiful, sparkly things... do the hokey pokey and that's what it's all about! Yay!
