Illustrator, Author, Self-Publisher, and Designer Judi Riley lives on Maui and Lanai with her beautiful boy, Cooper.

She is a former independent high school teacher. Her students have included legendary watermen Matt Meola, Ian Gentil (state surf champ), Alex Mussolini (Aloha Cup winner) & Kai Lenny (7 time world champion in SUP), as well as sons of legendary musicians Willie Nelson and Pat Simmons (Doobie Brothers), and Metallica & Tragically Hip Producer Bob Rock's children, and singer Lily Meola (who is the model for her books.)

Her line of original patchwork Hawaiiana blankets & fine linens, plus boutique baby clothes & accessories are stocked in specialty stores across the Hawaiian islands (including Nuage Bleu, Designing Wahine, Hale Zen, Boutiki, Proteas of Hawaii, and Growing Keiki). She also creates canvases for collectors as far away as Japan.

Judi's "When I am Quiet on Maui" is on the required reading list for Hawaii's Department of Education preschools and was also selected by Maui's mayor to be included in the 100 year time capsule. Her books have also found their way into gift baskets for the Hawaii State Society's 2009 inaugural ball for President Obama, plus the Maui Film Festival celebrity gift basket and the Mercedes Golf Championship player gift basket. Judi is currently working on the rest of her Tiki Tales Hawaiian island series and iloveMerkins.com, including eBook and iPad editions.

When Judi Riley isn't busy painting or writing, you can usually find her melting into the sand in that magical place where the sea meets the land.
