A dear knitting friend had a birthday coming up and I simply couldn't find a greeting card I liked .... and this was way back in 2009.

That's when I had one of those lightbulb moments ... I am a graphic designer by day [and often by night too] and so I designed one ... which very quickly grew into a range of 12 greeting cards which I launched at a yarn show in August 2009 and opened my Etsy shop at the same time ...

Since then I have extended my range across all sorts of items and they all have a craft theme - be it knitting, crochet, sewing, cross stitch and baking ... and yes, maybe the odd glass of wine or gin too ... all things I love!

I design everything you see here: from the words and concepts to the artwork. I source the products and try to find UK-based manufacturers where I can. I pack all the items myself and endeavour to make my packaging as environmentally friendly as possible. Because I care about that too.

TillyFlop designs can often be found at yarn festivals around the UK; I wholesale to stores in mainland Europe and the US too; magazines and blogs feature my products and stores and knitting designers approach me for individual commissions too.

And busy though I am [still graphic designing day and night] I love to wind down with a row or two on my latest cast-on and a catch-up on social media.
