I love love love these earrings! I've rediscovered my love of mismatched earrings recently and these are just the ticket. And they're upcycled, too! Win-win! Thanks for the prompt shipping, too!

Such a unique gift for my sister. From the box to the necklace, it’s art and great aesthetics all around. This will make a wonderful Christmas present!

About

steampunk. upcycled. awesome.

I started making steampunk creations in the summer of 2009, when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, freaked out about that (it's all good now!), and needed to get as far away from my history PhD as possible. Now I'm a history professor, and I make art for the sense of instant gratification, the "I made this today!" feeling of success.

In my historical life, I'm fascinated with wunderkammern / cabinets of curiosity / the grotesque / bodies / unusual anatomies, and I'm working on turning my dissertation into a book on conjoined twins and other "monsters" in early modern England.

Cheers!

I'm a history professor who needed a creative outlet. My book-in-progress is on knowledge transfer about monsters (conjoined twins and the like) in early modern England.
